I waited months for my referral, never heard anyone call me back from this office. I have called several times and no one returned my call!!! When I called back, the woman on the phone is extremely rude!!!! I explained my situation to her and she wasnt listening and told me I need to listen to her! Wft is this???? Honestly I don’t want to see this this office! The worst and absolutely the worst healthcare! Whoever talked to me should be fired, she is dragging this place down!!!

The sleep study place needs some help. They never answered the phone for scheduling appointments and did not respond to faxes. I think I called and faxed over 100 times over about a year with not a single returned phone call. Once I went in person to schedule I had to be quite rude to get an appointment, they told me to call the phone number which they do not answer to schedule the study. So dont waste your time on the phone or fax. Go in person. When I finally got my sleep “study” they should call it the no-sleep study. The address they gave me was wrong. They were nice enough to come help me find the right spot. Buses weren’t running so I took an uber from the parking garage to the towered building. Note - go to the ER entrance of the towers building for the night of your study. They said third party does scheduling so that’s why I got wrong address. Maybe I missed an email. When I got in, I was put in a comfortable room. But 2.5 hours went by with no updates. It was 1030 pm ( I arrived at 810) by the time they put my gear on. It was 1110 by the time they were finished. They make you wake up at 6 despite you not having to leave by 7, as if I need a whole hour to leave the place. The lights in the room are horrific white blue lights instead of yellow soft, not conducive to rest. They have no white noise playing so you can hear the people in the other room including bathroom sounds. They only gave me three water bottles, the tech was nice enough to refill for me. I was not aware that a camera was in the bedroom until 11 pm , so I was sitting in a closed room I thought I had privacy in for three hours. The experience I would rate as traumatic. They could easily improve by allowing people to sleep until 8 or 9 or have a transfer room people can transfer to after they are done. Heart attacks from sleep deprivation for even a single day are a thing. The exit from the building made no sense and both sleep study people (me and lady) got lost leaving. So a piece of paper leaving would be a basic level of decency. One tech told me there were 4 sleep study participants for the night and another told me 2 people were under observation. It was very hard to sleep knowing someone was watching me not because they were watching me but because the setup was not welcoming so I didn’t feel allied to the technicians. It is now 730 am and I’m home and hoping I’ll be able to fall back asleep. I hope the nightmare is over.

The UConn Sleep Disorder Center, a part of Pulmonology, is made up of amazingly adept sleep professionals. If you are in Connecticut and you are having sleep and/or CPAP issues, don't waste your time seeing anyone other than these folks.

ridiculous with scheduling of appointments. Cancelled twice already...sent a letter (no call) moving up another appt (cancelling the 3rd), giving me a few business days to move everything personal, then cancelled that one an hour before I left my house. They said they would call back to reschedule but of course did not. Non apologetic...just their business I guess. Changing doctors since I'm sick...terrible shame for a pulmonary medical facility.

Kim Gervais is AWESOME. Knows what she is talking about, makes SURE that I am good with my CPAP and supplies. Goes over everything with me. I was a MESS until I went to UCONN Pulmonary. I was tired ALL the time, felt horrible. She called for a sleep study and found I had apnea. All is good with my world now.
