Interesting facility, Dr. Ross is okay but too conservative and doesn't listen well to patients, but some of the technicians are really good, but some aren’t. Rated overall facility wise, they dont do sleep studies at the moment which is odd, but even my EEG in-office was unsuccessful, and then at-home 72hr eeg went alright, but no conclusions made for my diagnosis. Also - maybe the procedures need to be changed, or staff assisting the Dr need more training, bc I requested a refill on a Monday during intake and also to Dr Ross, and then no prescription sent, & I was out of medication the entire weekend, and not having any on call Dr or ways to fill medications when the office is closed was unprofessional. Plus the dispatched emergency service couldn’t get a hold of anyone for the refill that is supposedly required for my brain function. Kinda got not great vibes about this office and their staff/procedures.
Had some difficulty setting up but worked it out by looking at videos. The connection to the nose became undone the first night. The second night, there were no signals after disconnecting the belt so I’m concerned how much data got transmitted .
The reason for the 4/5 stars is due to the property itself. Love the tech, but as I told him both times last month and the month prior, the lights were not working in the parking lot or on the building signage. He said it has been a problem for some time but the property management never fixed things or changed lightbulbs. He had even offered to change the bulbs in the sign himself! I drove in circles the first time, and my husband was extremely concerned for my safety both times, since as a female, I had to walk in and out alone, in the dark, with no lights. He insisted I ask to be escorted from/to my car but there is only one tech and often 2 patients, who come in/are released separately. At the very least, it would be great if you could arrange for staff to walk to the lobby doors as patients leave in the early morning, likely having had very little restful sleep. Secondary to my safety was comfort. The rooms are extremely nice and the beds were comfortable, but the first stay/room was so warm the entire time I couldn't use blankets and had a fan blowing on me all night. I didn't bring my own blanket the next time, and that room was chilly the entire night. I know it is a system within the building, but some people have conditions which can cause sensitivity to temps, especially at night. It would be great to be able to adjust the temperature to the patient 's comfort within each room. Lastly, I got my diagnosis but I have only received an email saying there aren't any CPAP machines available, with no suggestions of where else to try. I have no idea when I will know when I can get one.
DO NOT GO. This place is unprofessional and unclear and unclean. Technician was nice but everything else was not. Basically no point in doing this. Was unable to go to sleep cause they keep the place at 100 degrees (and won’t turn it down) and the bed is hard as a rock. It’s basic medical robbery in my opinion cause the test I got felt inaccurate due to all the things that kept me from being able to sleep. Also they told me I could bring my husband and then said he could t stay when we got there. It also took me over a 2 months to schedule this appointment due to the staff and scheduling department. Lastly, they were going to charge me a copay that was double the amount I was supposed to pay until I asked to get it verified TWICE. Then they realized it was a mistake. This place should be legit shut down and I am going to call my insurance. Robbery.
My experience with the center would've been pleasant if it wasn't for one secretary. I scheduled a sleep study, which she was responsible to fax paperwork to my insurance in order to get authorization. I got everything in place and planned only to get a call 3 hour before I was due to check in to inform me that my insurance never responded. This happened again the following week. I called and my insurance said the never received the paperwork, I called back and forth until the secretary stopped answering after it was discovered she never sent the paperwork. I had to come in the office call my insurance and place them on three way, her explanation was I sent the paperwork but I can produce a fax report etc. Dr. Miller was kind and helpful. I enjoyed my sleep study the staff were welcoming. At the end of my sleep study I was asked to fill out a form to survey my services, I stated the above. Fast forward three month, and my sleep some need a follow up in order for my insurance to pay for my cpap machine. After leaving to messages requesting a follow up appointment. I got a call from the same secretary, she said Dr.Miller read your survey about what you said about me and he feels that since you had experienced that situation with me, he feels you should find another office for your services.?? I asked to speak to the Doctor for clarification. Surely after my first visit and sleep study they would not have made a decision to not see me after I gave them feedback that they requested. That they asked me for, I spoke highly about my experience with everyone other than that secretary.. Of course I never got a call back from the doctor. I felt this would have been helpful to know the day after my sleep study. I wouldn't put it past the secretary that she would have intercepted that survey review.
