Update (Changed from 3 stars to 1 star): Despite giving this business the benefit of the doubt over and over, we had an incredibly frustrating experience that proved too much. The DMV required paperwork from us that Dr. Goring had to fill out. She filled it out incorrectly with the wrong diagnosis and medication--it wasn't remotely right. We had to file for an extension for the paperwork. And then she took two weeks to redo the (very simple) replacement paperwork, which resulted in it being late and a nightmare of red tape. I can't understand why they never seem to accomplish very important things in a timely manner. They do not prioritize patients' needs here, even when those needs are critical, in our experience. Original review: I have mixed feelings. I always have a wonderful experience with Dr. Goring, and her office staff is much more cohesive than they've been in the past, especially since the addition of Jody. It would be a five-star review from me if it weren't so hard to get a prescription refilled. Over the years I have been here, I have had an issue with prescription refills every single time (except for a single glorious instance last year). My medicine requires a new prescription every three months, and it usually takes an average of 3-4 calls over the course of a week to get the refill. It feels like a process breakdown. The front desk forwards it to the doctor for approval and then nothing happens. I don't know if it's a technology issue or Dr. Goring being overwhelmed, but it is very frustrating. This is a very good practice with some logistics issues that persist. I am hopeful that these issues are ironed out, because I like Dr. Goring and her staff a lot. But continuously having trouble getting refills is not a good time.
I expected a hospital bed, weird lighting, a cold room and lots of wires. What I found was a simple but nice bedroom, Roku TV to watch while getting drowsy, and a kind and professional staff. Yes - there were lots of wires and a thing on my nose that made it harder to breathe, but the staff - particularly Tony - were excellent and professional. Only 4 stars, because the sleep study is not particularly pleasant, but that's not on the staff or doctors, it just is what it is.
I’ve had two appointments with Shyni Ann Simon and can’t say enough about her . Shyni was exceptionally professional and kind, along with her compassion for her patients by including my goals into my care in educating me with my results She thoroughly explained the results of my sleep apnea study. She took the time to make sure I understood everything clearly and her caring approach made me feel truly supported. The staff were also courteous and efficient throughout the process.
I can’t image how I could have been treated better. The facility was clean and comfortable (for a sleep study). The staff were perfectly professional and courteous.
After reading all the bad reviews of this place, now I know why they have so many issues. Also if it takes you multiple phone calls just to speak with a human and have them return your call a couple days later, is a BAD sign..... I called Calvert Sleep Center to asked if they take my health Insurance so I could make an appointment with one of their physician, they said yes. Meantime, the doctor spoke to me via tela apt and suggested I take a "Sleep Study Test" to check my breathing and oxygen level when sleeping. Couple days later, one of the office staff members called me to set up an appointment to pick up the home sleep test and go over the procedures, which was actually the only best thing about this place. At this time, my money was very tight so I was leery about what my Insurance would cover. So I asked him (the staff member) again if my insurance also covers the test or I would have to go somewhere else? He assured me that Calvert Sleep takes my insurance and covers everything, so not to worry. I should've known better after they make you fill out 30 pages of information and noting in small print on the bottom, "if your insurance does not accept office visits etc, then the patient will be responsible to pay." YEP, the ole "BAIT AND SWITCH" trick. Six weeks later, I receive a $259 bill from them saying, "Non Covered Insurance." Yes, the joke is on me, I should have not trusted that office without calling my ins myself. Lesson Learned! Don't recommend this place.
