We had a good ER visit (as best as those can be). The front desk attended us quickly and kindly. And the nurses assisted us with respect. I loved that everything was digitalized too through mychart app and text messages.

My son has a mental illness. I keep having him ivc'd at First Health. I have begged...I have cried...I have spoke with fear in my voice asking to please get him long term inpatient help. One time I was told by a doctor that he was not going to stand in front of a judge to help get him the medical treatment he needs. His story...my story of long suffering with inadequate help or no help at all extends over 24 years. If you self medicate then you are an addict.. I was told by one Dr. At First Health in Pinehurst "If your son wants to self medicate and die that is his choice...he will not survive this much longer" People with mental illness our loved ones our world are condemned and cast aside in the system at First Health in Pinehurst. His struggles are my struggles they are the entire families struggles. I have watched him beg for help then be released in 12 hrs...shackled sitting in the hall way at First Health Hospital in Pinehurst while people judged and then he was released a few hours later. With no other chouce he was arrested to save his life and sit in jail 2.5 yrs while the court demanded treatment for him...I mean 2.5 yrs! Finally made it to Butner...released 6 weeks later with no long term inpatient treatment plan. And now the cycle continues again. He is back at First Health in Pinehurst again. I have called numerous places...begging for someone to listen and see him as a son...a father...a person...for help. He has no insurance because he stays in the mental health cycle...if anyone from First Health reads this call Moore County Courthouse I am sure they would love to talk to you about my son and his fight for help. I am going to reach out until I find someone that will take this serious. Any life is a life worth saving or does it stop when it comes to mental health. 2-3 days is not enough time to deem the extent of a mental state. My son is there now...give him the help he deserves and actually listen not just hear. I pray this reaches the correct person for once.

Originally this would have been a five star review. My 63 year old father suffers with severe back problems (DDD, aracnoiditis) he has had countless surgeries. He was brought in by ambulance, he couldn’t walk, was screaming in pain. They got him here did X-rays and MRIs and were making him comfortable. The doctors realized this was a flare up and they wanted to admit him until the pain and flare up went back down. His doctor and nurses were absolutely wonderful and taking care of him. Then some lady came into his room, didn’t say who she was and started ripping out all his wires and cords and said he was being discharged. My dad says “oh they said I was being admitted” she said “I’m in charge and I say your being discharged” asked my dad if he needed a wheelchair (of course he did) wheeled him out to the waiting room. The lady said “is your wife here yet?”, my dad was so upset he just said it was fine he would wait in her and she walked away. I don’t know who that lady is but not only is her bedside manner despicable but the way she treated my father was unacceptable. This is why people are uncomfortable coming to the ER, because of people like her. To the doctor and nurses who helped me father I appreciate you so much, he has been through a lot.

Just wanted to share my experience here at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. My brother was having surgery here this morning and we had to check in at 5:00 am. When arriving we were greeted with a smile. At 5:00 am who does this? We were then taken to prep area by the sweetest lady ever with a great sense of humor lightening everyone’s day. After being here since 5:00m and not familiar with the area everyone has been so helpful and caring. It’s now 2:00 pm and after eating breakfast and lunch here at the hospital I have determined that I have never in my life experienced anything like this. I would honestly say that 98% of the workers from cleaning crew, nurses etc have greeted us just walking by with a smile, how are you today or a simple Hello. Everyone is so relaxed but so very helpful at the same time. Just wanted to say Thank you to Moore Regional. I sure wish our hospitals in Nashville were Moore :) like you.

Gave birth here recently for the second time. My experience both times was amazing. I didn’t have a single interaction with a staff member that wasn’t positive. The nurses took excellent care of both me and my babies. I never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for help during recovery. I was checked on very often and medications were given on time. I had scheduled c sections and both surgeries really couldn’t have gone better (surgeon was Dr.Richberg from SPWH, would absolutely recommend him and their other providers - I’ve rotated providers and have never had a bad experience). The staff during the procedures did their best to distract me and make me comfortable. In triage, surgery and recovery staff members explained everything to me very clearly and made sure I understood and consented, including anything they needed to do for my babies and any medications given.
