I was called the day of my appointment and asked if any questions before I go in nothing about a questionnaire packet to fill out and bring with me, when I arrived I was asked if I brought the filled out questionnaire packet with me, I said no didn’t remember getting one in mail nor asked when called, I was given them to fill out, I have a torn rotator cuff and bicep waiting to get surgery, myelopathy & arthritis in right arm, hand fingers so it’s painful to write it took awhile and woke me up trying to think of all of dates etc.My left knee (have TKR both knees) gave out going down stairs in front of house almost fell but I walk with a cane and husband helped me so knee was hurting all night! I also have Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar Stenosis, previous ACDF C4,5,6, Fibromyalgia and new Dx Sarcoidosis in my lungs, so I have have, stiff joints, muscles and hard time breathing. The nurse that showed me the room was nice, told me the bed was adjustable, the other nurse came in that was my attending nurse I don’t know her name, she was not friendly nor compassionate, put ceiling fan on high I thought was okay when she walked out but the fan was not secure enough for the highest speed, it was wobbling and shaking the drop ceiling tile it could have fallen out of the ceiling on me, I couldn’t move was hooked up to wired plugged in. There isn’t a call light just told to talk into the intercom on headboard for help, I asked for help took a few seconds she will be there in a Little while I said this is an emergency, told her what was wrong, she still said it will be a little while. When asked to go to bathroom, unhooked me, came back tried to drink water, she was impatient, pulled wires back on my right arm that has a torn rotator cuff and bicep I haven’t had surgery yet, I said “it hurts I can’t move it behind me”she didn’t stop kept pulling, I had to remove pulse ox from right finger to use bathroom, she had to put on a new one, I asked if have to do that every time she was upset said everyone else wipes with their left hand, I said I can’t bend very well with bad arthritis so I can’t use my left hand, she asked if I would like it on my left finger I said yes that would be easier, thank you, then every time I went while I would try to drink water she would pull the wires attached to my scalp and yank hard said get into bed, I asked if I can have bed adjusted for knee hurting she said no can only use it if have one at home. I said I’m in a lot of pain she just ignored me asked if anything else before she leaves. I luckily had Tylenol asked if I could get out of purse, she let me, I cried for a while out a pillow under my knees, asked for Kleenex but the box fell off table I had to pick it up on next bathroom break, I used my phone had a weird pop up saying my browsing cloud is not secure, when finally slept it was time to get up I was out of it asked if have coffee can’t drive or where to get some she ignored me, then said she doesn’t drink it so don’t know. She left the gooey adhesive all over my scalp, face and body didn’t remove any of it, I had to scrub really hard in the shower to remove it not sure if I got it all. I felt like I was in an institution with nurse Ratchet.

Will tell you that you are unable to take necessary psychiatric medications for the sleep study for sleep apnea, which contradicts all guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of apnea. If a patient functionally needs medications for the rest of their lives, then sleep apnea tests would have to treat this as baseline. The addition of narcolepsy testing and requirement of no medications is wholly irresponsible and negligent, as well as disrespectful to patient autonomy and self-determination as outlined in all provider types' ethical guidelines and standards. It is perfectly reasonable to abstain from diagnostic procedures if the patient is not suspected to have the tested condition and does not exhibit any acute or chronic symptomology in line with the diagnosis. It is superfluous and seems to be done to line provider pockets as opposed to provide adequate care. I have recommended to the affected patient that they file a formal complaint with the state licensure board.

Medical price-gouging at its finest. I had a huge bill for a basic at-home sleep study. The service consisted of picking up a little device to wear at home overnight and returning it the next day. No upfront transparency regarding costs/coverages. Clinic manager told me that they have someone call each patient to explain the costs before the service. That never happened; i would have cancelled if I'd known.

WARNING ! I used my tablet while there and someone hacked it. Keep changing passcode but some one at that location is using and or attempting to use my account. Don't use their Internet. Google says it is,someone in the building but more likely someone has hijacked there internet. I logged on while there to thete guest service the nurse came in I laid down my tablet, picked it up and, someone was using my tablet. Changed passcodes, and still having trouble. Be careful. Not impressed but it is a sleep center. I like the one at unmc better. Staff was more personable and interested at unmc. But the people at the dr office are great WITH METHODIST.
