The Sleep Disorder Center

I just left this place about 45 minutes ago. I was scheduled for a sleep study and was told to arrive at 8:30 which I did. The technician really didn’t give me any information just told us to get our night clothes on and fill out the papers and open the door when you were ready for her to come in. No information on what to expect. I did ask her how long the test last and she said six hours, that was about it. I asked if I was allowed to read my book for a while to fall asleep and she said no.. No electronic, Not even elevator music Or something to listen to until I fell asleep. First of all, I don’t go to bed at 9 o’clock. I’m retired and usually don’t go to bed until 11 or later..She proceeded to put these leads on my head, pushing in very hard With some kind of waxy cream. By the time she got done, I started with a headache, so I got into bed and laid there with fairly cool air blowing down on my head and still experiencing a headache from the tech putting the leads all over my head .after about an hour and a half I realized I was not going to be able to fall asleep and told her that I needed to leave. She informed me that my insurance would not pay for it, and I would have to sign a paper and I would be responsible for the cost. She had no other information. She said I had to sign a form. I read the form and it was about liability. Basically I was leaving against the physicians order, etc. first of all there was no physician there so she said she had to go call her supervisor but didn’t get an answer so I left without signing the paper. I don’t see how it would’ve interfered if I had read a book or whatever until I Was ready to fall asleep. She said it affects the test. Well if the test is measuring my sleep , If I wasn’t sleeping, what was it going to measure? It just seems like an Unprofessional Business and I have to agree with all of the other one star reviews. I would never go back to this place nor would I ever recommend it to anyone and I will make sure I tell my primary care not to send any other patients there. I left with a headache and I still have it, So I came out feeling worse than when I went into the place. The technician could care less if I left or not. The whole operation is less than desirable. Do not go to this place find somewhere else if you need a sleep study!

Absolutely horrible! I had Amy and she was okay. I was tossing and turning all night long. I told her, "that's because I was trying to get comfortable!" She honestly thought I was asleep. No TV no phones usage nothing just a bed with all the equipment. Next to the highway and you can hear the traffic in the room. Finally at 3:30am my nightmare ended. Amy came in and thought she woke me up not knowing I was already awake and said it was time to leave. Very ridiculous there. I also refused to leave my credit card info information . The paperwork that they had me do after already sending it to my house and she refused to accept it.

went there for a test at 9pm the girl named Victoria took care of me and she was high and out me in the room after she hooked me up for 45 minutes. Told me she'd be right back. I go out to see what's going on. And she's passed out in her chair and I said excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, and I woke her up and she was all out of it. I ripped everything off of me and I left.

Horrible place with terrible work ethic. As a social worker, i would advocate for this place to be investigated due to the poor treatment of my husband by the rude and unethical respiratory therapist. My husband's appointment kept getting changed and when he showed up for what he thought was the right time he was treated rudely and denied being given his equipment. He had words with the rude respiratory therapist and left. I also tried to resolve the issue and make arrangements to get his equipment and the therapist was very unethical saying that she made the decision to not release the equipment and instead would delay him getting the equipment knowing that it is a continued risk to his health. I filed a complaint with the PA attorney general, notified my insurance company of possible fraud since the equipment was not provided after being paid for and have also contacted an attorney. I would not recommend this place.

My boyfriend was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and referred here. He went to his appointment, ready to stay overnight even though he had a cold. They sent him home explaining if he had a coughing fit it would mess up the test and his insurance would still be billed for it- probably not covering another test. He tried to reschedule but they were closed for 2 weeks for holidays and only do testing two days a week anyway. He trys today to make an appointment and come to find out the girls listed him as a no call no show! Billed his insurance anyway and is now saying they shredded his information so he can't make an appointment!!! Absolutely horrible customer service. You'll die before you get help from this place
