Everything was great! The equipment was all set up when I arrived. The gentleman that took care of me was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable! It took him very little time to get me ready for the study and when he said that I was going to bed at 8pm, I was in bed by 8pm! When I had my baby girls I was in the same room. Well done!
I had a confusion with my bill for a sleep study. I was told by my insurance the procedure was denied and I was responsible for over $6,000. A representative from the Kootenai Sleep Clinic called to say she made a clerical error when she submitted it to my insurance and takes responsibility for her error. Then she informed me that my financial responsibility is $0 and they will incur the charges. This is exceptional customer service. What’s more is my doctor took time to discuss my concerns in a way I could understand. Thank you!
Appointment to see Dr was not available until 4 months after the equipment was received. The MA was nice until she ran the usage report from cpap. Made a snide remark “I will leave the cleaning instructions in case you decide to use it again”. Keeping in mind my pcp knew nothing about sleep medicine so I had to wait 4 months, did the best I could. The Dr came across as a sales pitch, all of my issues are due to “sleep apnea”. If I don’t use the cpap I will die. He told me certain meds that I take at night could have negatively affected the sleep study outcome. I was not told to stop taking meds prior. I did not feel like we were working together to discuss what is best for me. I left feeling very disappointed. A couple weeks later I found out dental infection was the reason for most if not all of my exhaustion, swollen tongue, lack of energy etc. After an adjustment to the cpap my next follow up appointment is in December. I will continue to use the cpap, see how the next appointment goes, then decide if I will continue.
This experience was not as clinical as my first sleep study several years ago at KMC, KH. The room felt like home, the bed was better than at home. Lisa, my tech, has such a soothing voice, made me feel at ease. I am sure all of the techs are pleasant, you struck gold with Lisa.
Everyone is so nice and I enjoy the relaxed, but professional attitude of the staff. Dr. Fairfax is a thorough, but friendly man and visits with him are pleasant. I have enough stress in my life so it's nice if you have to see a dr that it's an easy and quick visit.
