My only issue with my experience here was the wait in the ER was extremely long. I was in the ER for about 5 hours with severe abdominal pain before I got sent to a room. The doctors were great, turns out I had appendicitis and needed surgery. Pre and post op nurses were also great and very attentive.
I was very impressed with their pediatrics. Very respectful and overall very considerate towards my toddler and myself. The hospital itself is clean and very large… even when the parking lot felt full, the inside of the hospital was not packed. Overall great experience and will continue to use Womack for our families care
I ordered records today from the staff at Womack Army Medical Center. I was AMAZED. April took care of my needs, and I have to say she was shockingly efficient! She’s owed a raise, IMO. And while she was working, she carried on the most pleasant and fascinating conversation with me without missing a beat of what was in front of her. Thank you, April!
First of all, I would like to say thank you to all the staffs who working here without pay during this government shutdown. One of the nurse took care of us nicely despite she was busy with other work. The waiting time here for treatment at ER is way too long due to under manning and the increased of patients every day. Again, thank you for who are working hard for us, God bless you all.
The OB/GYN department nurse was amazing (reason for the 2 stars), but after having some concerns, my wife and I went to the E.R. (advised to go by the provider). We told the E.R. front desk, and they looked at us like we were wasting their time and not believing what we told them. So, 3 hours sitting, my wife finally gets pulled back, but was told that it was not safe for our 2.5 year old to come back, so I had to wait in the waiting area. This doesnt make sense because how is it more safe out here.. then in a room?? On top of that, I watched another patient go back with FIVE of his kids ranging from 2-9. When my wife told the E.R. Nurse her concerns, the nurse told her "yeah no, thats not what's happening" in a condensending manner. How would you come to that conclusion before you even run tests? Just completely unprofessional and honestly after reading most reviews, yeah sure you can call Patient Advocay but are things going to change? I dont think so, hasnt appeared to change in the year worth of reviews.
