While I've been a patient at the Minnesota Sleep Institute for some time (including after I moved to California), my recent experience has been frustrating. Reaching the office to discuss refills or ongoing care has proven very difficult. It took weeks of daily messages and contacting the scheduling line just to get a response. Furthermore, I was previously informed by a doctor (no longer at the institute) that they could send prescriptions to my California pharmacy. However, subsequent staff contradicted this, leaving me without a solution and out of medication. This lack of clear communication and workable interim plan significantly impacted my ability to access necessary medication. While I understand the challenges of the Allina merger, the current understaffing seems to be severely impacting patient communication and care continuity. Hopefully, these issues will be addressed during the integration process.

Some of the worst service I have experienced. FIrst, when you call, they have an extenmsive voice mail system that you must go through, you can only leave a message, and they actuially tell you that it will be 72 hours OR LONGER. Tehy tell you to only leave one message per day presumably because people get frustrated when they acan;t get help from their medical professional. Second, they did not accurately update my medical records when I was in a week ago. Proviodor asked me questions and then failed to accurately record my responses. Third, the treatment plan that the providor wrote on my Patient Plan is not what we talked about. Fourth, my providor allegedly prescribed a new CPAP machine for me but gave me no prescription and I have not heard from anyone about potentially filling it. Here I sit a week later not knowing what's going on with this prescription. Not only is the customer srevice horrible, they are incredibly unprofessional when they can't even manage to accurately write down the facts of a visit. Unfortunately, there really sin;t anywhere else to go. They seem to have a monopoly and don;t care about service. I am sure this will fall on deaf ears like everything else with them. My providor did tel me that they were recently acquired by Allina. That will be a good day, at least there will be some transparency.

They are quick to get you in for a study and consult and set you up with a cpap but if you need to do absolutely anything after that, good luck. I will say the RT / doc has been great to work with and helpful but everything else about this place is the worst. It’s impossible to get ahold of anyone to get anything done or information updated and they rarely call back when you leave voicemails. They even have a portal where you can pay your bill that allows you to also send messages but don’t bother trying because nobody responds to those either. It was so difficult and time consuming to get my insurance information updated that it took filing a complaint with the Minnesota Attorney generals office and stopping by in person not only to the cpap office but also to a separate business office to accomplish this simple task. More on that saga: I sent several portal messages to update insurance information with no response. I called and left voicemails weekly to update my insurance info and when someone finally called me back a month later, they took my new info down and it never got updated either so I went in person to the office where they sent me to the business office and after 3 months I finally got everything updated! Honestly if you want anything done at all you’re better off just showing up unannounced at the business office at 4570 West 77th St Suite 150 in edina to just do it in person. This is easily the most dysfunctional business I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. it’s hard to understand how they are still allowed to operate as a medical provider.

My primary doctor referred me and commented that their customer service is not the best. That was an understatement! The sleep study was great but all down hill after that. It is very difficult to speak with anyone at the clinic . Leaving a voice mail is the only way to contact anyone. Their message says that they will call back within 24 to 48 hours. I left multiple messages with no response. Three times I had to just walk in. Staff was not happy. After 9 months as a patient I am actively looking for a new clinic.

First off, most of these reviews are full of….you know what. I recently had been referred to this place for a sleep study and after reading the reviews I was prepared to walk out. But much to my surprise, none of the details of the reviews were true (I guess that really probably shouldn’t surprise me this day and age, especially considering this is located in Edina, which has some of the worst sense of entitlement people in the twin cities) They put you in a small room with a Sleep number bed, tv (with access to their Netflix, prime and HBO account). And you even get your own bathroom that is just across the hall. The sleep tech couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating (I wish I could remember her name, I am so bad with names). I am knocking off a star though, because the only thing I agree with the other reviews is they are the worst clinic/provider I’ve come across about not answering the phone.
