After doing the sleep study, I asked the manager what beds and pillows they use. He just said "i don't know." No attempt to find out, not a care in the world, just dismissal... if you don't care about the quality of your customers sleep, what are you even doing here?
While the person performing the sleep study was perfectly kind and appropriate, one part of my experience was not satisfactory. When applying the leads to your head, they apply wax and use some sort of marker. Well, they pressed so hard on my forehead, they scraped the skin off. Now, nearly a week later, I have a rather noticable scab right in the middle of my forehead from where they scraped skin to apply a sensor. I'll include three pictures, one the next day, another several days later, and another a couple weeks later, where it looks like I'm gonna have a scar from this place. No, I don't have thin skin. I'm not a smoker, or a drinker, I don't use drugs or have any skin conditions....so there is NO reason my skin would fluff off like this by itself. It wasn't a reaction to the wax, either, because this is the only part that was injured from the experience, no other sensor locations had any problems. Maybe next time, don't scrape the patient skin off. Thanks.
Extremely frustrated. My husband was referred to SpectREM for a sleep study since then it has been a nightmare. We have experienced phone tag for scheduling the initial appointment, rescheduling at the last minute by the office staff, no answer to our calls and billing error. His initial appointment was over 6 months ago and I am still fighting with them to bill for that appointment. They keep billing our insurance incorrectly. I have spoken with their accounting three times and have received no answers or calls back!!!
I'm just over all the unnecessary back and forth with information, not knowing what is going on, and being told to call this or that person! I'm been waiting on replacement filters and a face mask velcro strap because my mask falls off during the night. Well, my appointment was April 29th, and I'm still waiting for products, have called, no kidding, 7 times, leaving messages 4 of those times. It's truly sad that patients have no one to work for them, but they are getting paid to provide a service. I know you all can do better. I will be making phone calls, once again, this morning.
My husband was scheduled for a cpap titration study. They asked him to sign a statement that we had seen a recall notice on the machine they would use for the overnight study. We were told the machine was on recall because occasionally particles from the machine get into lungs. We hadn’t seen the study and refused to sign. We were also concerned about the loud traffic noise in the sleep rooms. We were told they only need the patient to sleep two hours to get the info they needed. Really? They don’t care if you can’t sleep because of the noise? They said if the patient couldn’t sleep they would do the study again. I suppose that means they charge you twice for not being able to sleep in a noisy room!!! We left.
