My experience with the cardiology team at RWJ HAMILTON was fantastic. Bernadette RN (especially great) kept me informed and calm with her nice demeanor. Dr Mandal, Dr Shauma cardiology, Dr Tunillo anesthesia, and Vashelli echotech all were very professional and made me feel at ease. I felt confident I was in good hands. If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. This is the absolute worst hospital and emergency room in the state. I would never, ever go again or take my family. The nurses are so nasty, they don't care about the patients at all, and they are so judgemental that they pick and choose who to treat based solely on looks. I went in by ambulance with severe stomach pain that's was causing my blood pressure to spike too high and non stop vomiting for 8 days. When I arrived there were obviously empty beds but they put me in the waiting room. I was triaged quickly and told I'd have a bed in 20 minutes. It never happened. After 2 hours a doctor took me in a room, asked questions, and ordered blood work which a nurse took immediately. I asked the doctor about something for the pain, he refused until I got in my room. I was then thrown out of the room I was in so a patient with a cut foot could have it. Pain was so bad my legs gave out and I hit the floor. They yelled at me which was nasty and unprofessional. Maybe if they had treated me like a human being I wouldn't have fallen on the floor. They also got mad about having to help me up. When I asked how long for a room I was told up to 48 hours because they were too busy. I gave up and left. Obviously I'd been judged unworthy of treatment because my facial deformity and lack of teeth makes them assume I'm just a drug addict looking for a fix so they wouldn't treat me at all. So if I die, my husband will be sure to sue them. Went in for help, left so depressed I just feel like giving up on life.

My father was admitted to the RWJ Hamilton hospital due to heart failure. It was our first time here, and we’ve been very impressed with every aspect of his care. The nurses are exceptional—compassionate, attentive, and dedicated—especially Kelly and Bernadette. Bernadette, has been incredibly patient. During the CV procedure, she stayed with my father the entire time and explained each step to us with great care. Afterward, she continued to stay by his side to ensure that he was comfortable and doing well. Kelly has been taking care of my father in his room throughout the past week, including over the Thanksgiving holiday. She is one of the most caring nurses we’ve ever met—deeply passionate about her work and genuinely dedicated to her patients. We will not hesitate to recommend RBJ Hamilton to our friends and family.

I received care in the ER for Covid and felt horrible my nurse Bridget made me feel very comfortable during my visit and attended to all my needs. The secretary Tina went out of her way to help me contact my mom when my phone was dead and continued to pop in occasionally and checked on me to see if I needed anything throughout my whole stay.Very sweet people and all the other hospital staff as well as Dr Gojanik

I came to Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton for emergent care. Fortunately, I was so very happy to be met with amazing staff that showed me nothing but care, empathy, and clear communication about what was happening with me. I cannot thank Dr. Horana, Dr. Betancourt and Atif Siddiqi enough, they offered such wonderful bedside manner, were very efficient, caring and clear. Nurse Alejandro, Nurse Sydney, Nurse Elvira and Nurse Lauren were so quick, empathetic and so personable – drying my tears, holding my hands, asking me to speak with them so they could address my fears. Dr. Shaikh performed my procedure and I couldn’t have asked for a better cardiologist or better nurses to perform it. So happy with every person I encountered that night and have no hesitation seeking medical attention at the hospital should I every need to again. I felt comforted every step of the way.
