Regarding the sleep lab: when it used to be Barclay Sleep Center it was new and wonderful. I went there recently to pick up overnight sleep study equipment and was shocked at what a filthy, grubby, cluttered, dusty mess this place had become. Stacks of old paperwork 2 feet high on just about every surface. One woman running the entire front office and clearly overworked, as evidenced by her at-home loungewear, haggard appearance and casual, unprofessional demeanor. She is the only one handling phone calls, so good luck trying to get through. She will eventually call back and is a nice person— not her fault the business doesn’t provide adequate staffing. I doubt very much that if they cannot manage to maintain a clean front office, that their sleep lab facilities are any better; so there’s no way I’m taking an overnight sleep study there and am shopping for a different place. Upstairs, the doctors’ practice is just as bad. They don’t answer their phones— at all. Leave a message with a medical assistant and if you’re lucky s/he will call you back in several days… or not at all. Currently I am on day 4 of waiting for a call back. In the meantime I’ve found another sleep doctor and scheduled a new patient appointment for next week
My PCP, Dr. Giacomo Folden recommended Washington Sleep Center to have my potential Sleep Apnea diagnosed. All of Dr. Folden's previous recommendations, Dr. Vrabec (Cataract surgery), Dr. Frisch (Knee Pain) turned out to be consummate professionals. Not so with Washington Sleep Center. Their casual patient care attitude is very disappointing. I went through an at home Sleep Apnea test ~ 3 weeks ago, did not hear a word of follow up from them. So, after 3 weeks I called them to find out what is their plan regarding my test report. The concerned doctor had not analyzed my test results, yet. I was told that the doctor WILL (no firm timeline) submit a report to Dr. Folden.
I highly advise that those in search of good and professional care stay away from this practice. The nurse, Justin, was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful towards both me and my father who were both receiving immunotherapy injections. For a reason unknown to us, Justin was okay with my father leaving right after receiving his injections. Yet, he was adamant that i remain in the office for 30 minutes after my injections. After about 4 weeks of injections twice a week, Justin then decided to change the rules for my father since I only waited for 15 minutes instead of 30. On top of all this, Dr. Ibrahim was never present for any of the injections. Injections were administered by Justin and Justin only, which goes against protocol. Overall, a very poor experience with an unprofessional group.
I'v had a extremely wonderful experience with the staff over at Washington pulmonary sleep center. Friendly courtous an very knowledgable team as well as a very clean sanitary and tidy presantable office suite who is ready to do business! Thank You for all the help.
Five stars are not enough for this rating. The facility, the doctor, and the staff all exceeded my expectations. The friendly, efficient staff were a great introduction as I walked in the door. Dr. Go was an attentive, informed and caring Physician. The facility was spotless and very comfortable for my sleep study. I cannot think of anything they could improve. Thank you!
