If I could have went to a different hospital I would have. This is the 2nd time today I have been in here with my daughter. Her nurse Rory did not listen to her when asking the suicide questions, they locked her in a room and was going to take all her clothes. He asked her if she EVER felt suicidal she said yes but not since 2017, he only heard the word yes. He kept poking till I thought i was going to have to physically push him out of our way to leave. I had to deal with the cops today because of this hospital. Now we are back this evening and immediately this nurse saw us and it started again. Dr's never listen to their patients. I agree with a previous complaint this place should be shut down. Staff very uncaring.
Corewell Gerber staff were friendly and professional the entire time we were in ER and then moved to inpatient. They correctly diagnosed a gallbladder infection that was almost a year old. They were very careful and cautious, including keeping inpatient longer to make sure no negative outcomes after surgery. The surgeon, all nursing staff, and all environmental services were excellent. It was a clean, prompt, diligent healing environment. Even on the weekend with lower staff they were great.
I arrived for some labs, only to be told to check in via kiosk. The kiosk was apparently broken or malfunctioning as I then waited 1:30 hours while never actually being checked in. Once I told the front desk staff they had me check in via kiosk all over again and I still waited for over 30 minutes. By the time I left, the labs had closed for the afternoon. If I hadn’t double checked with the front desk staff I never would have gotten them done at all. This was incredibly frustrating as I had to provide a urine sample and give blood so I was not allowed to use the bathroom for the time period as u was informed the last time I was here for labs. .
This was my 4th place to go to for care. I specifically went to this hospital instead of Muskegon, just so I didn’t have to deal with the rude people there. All to come here and sit for three hours and be given a muscle relaxer for a kidney stone. And YOUR nurse ALLIYAH S insisted my pain was from a muscle NOT my kidney stone. She had no compassion and the attitude and demeanor was horrible. Smacking her gum when she came into my room. Just unprofessional And this I hear is NOT THE FIRST time ppl had complained about the nurse. There clearly is an issue with her and caring for your patients. I highly suggest she gets talked to and really gets the picture of where she works. If she can’t care for people, she don’t need a job like this. I will never come to this hospital and will tell my friends and family not to come as well.
I went into emergency for my son. He got there at 2pm and got out at 850pm. He needed stitches and a tendon had been severed. (Doctor gave him enough stitches to get him by till the next day to see the specialist. We got in a room at 4. Doctor numbed him at 515. First stich at 610 final stitch at 830. The doctor had to keep leaving the room. My son had to get one more numbing injection do to the time frame. I would not suggest this hospital! Doctor was nice and apologized.
