My 77 year old mother went to the emergency room Thursday night unable to breath with low blood pressure. She was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure which turned out to be from the flu and a pneumonia. From the time of her arrival she asked for a clergy person, and assistance cleaning herself up. These services were only provided on the following Tuesday, the days she was discharged. These services whole time she was there they didn’t change any linen, never provided her with water until she complained (which was difficult due to how she was feeling), had her stuck in bed and generally treated her like she was not mentally sound. In general the nursing care was sub-par. When the treating doctor was asked about a pulmonologist, he became indignant, stating he was treating her. The doctor overlooked what she was trying to express and listening only to her husband, whose wishes weren’t fully aligned with hers. She felt she wasn’t treated with dignity, and in retrospect should have requested to be transferred to another hospital.

These Dr's just want money. Dr. Ethan Krell literally saw my son for 2 minutes and did nothing for him. He even noted his blood pressure, bmi, pulse, weight and hight on the summary sheet but never even checked any of that on him. Simply said he needed to refer him to someone else but put no referral numbers on the sheet either. Yet they sure to charge me the copay, complete waste of time and money. This should be illegal, they have no heart or care in the world.

I gave birth here and it was an okay experience but the nurses are lacking with educating. They just handed me a folder with information and didnt explain anything in it regarding education with me or my baby. The nurses were really nice

UNSANITARY Why was I quarantined in an unsanitary room room with the door wide open? The room was a filthy unsanitary room with filthy vile cockroaches crawling on the filthy unwashed floor and bathroom. I expect a hospital, especially one that has bought up most hospitals in the area and is also getting my very hard earned money to be sanitary and sanitized and bug free. This was anything but. Thank you to my ER nurse Kathleen G. very professional take charge employee. 4th floor daytime nurses were inattentive- not so much as an ice chip since I could not eat anything. Nightime nurses and tech were great too. However, I am leaving the Montifiore network and going to Columbia Presbyterian, I suggest you do the same!
