I'm very unhappy with this hospital came in for my husband avm and bleed out the staff in the ICU were good. Once we went to the pcu I took care of him more than the staff always an hour or more for him to get help with personal care. Theire was one time he was covered inbm I asked someone to clean him up than another hour went by and no one came by. Then they told me he was having an addiction to a medication and told me he was having withdrawals and just treated him like a drugy. And then when it came to remove his avm they wanted to wait to remove it 3 months which was unacceptable it could of bursted at any given time.

This is the second time I have come in with my girlfriend regarding kidney stones and the first time was bad, the second was horrendous. This second time we came into the clinic, we arrived at 7:30 pm to the ER. We waited for probably an hour before being taken back to a room. Given it's a kidney stone, she was in extreme pain. Once we got into a room we waited for probably another hour before being given slightly stronger Tylenol. After being told she needed an ultrasound at around 10 pm, we didn't get to the ultrasound room until one in the morning. After finishing an hour later we didn't receive a bit of information until 7 in the morning. After the ultrasound which finished at 2, we asked a nurse if they could get her more pain meds as the pain was becoming significantly worse again. She didn't receive any pain meds until 8:30 in the morning. I repeatedly talked to nurses asking if they had any updates on the ultrasound or meds and got the same response that they were waiting for a doctor. When the doctor came into to talk about the results, it was a 30 second conversation before leaving us. All in all we have spent over 12 hours here and the only way to get anything done is by constantly having to seek out the nurses as they never came to our room without me going and talking to them. My advice is plan your emergencies ahead of time and bring your own pain meds unless your thing is being in pain for hours at a time and being ignored by the peoples who's job it is to help you out.

This hospital is severely understaffed! The nurses care less who enters their floor. My husband has had multiple surgeries here and it’s the same issues each time. I visited my husband after he had to stay overnight. I was in his room well over an hour until the PCA checked on him not the RN. Unacceptable! Also, their parking is ridiculous. You have to take a ticket that you have to have validated inside the hospital to avoid paying for parking. They don’t even care about the visitors. Thank goodness both of us will have nothing to do with Banner. Beware!

it if i could do 0 stars i would. i had to stay 5 days in the hospital after u have a cancerous tumor (6.3cms) removed from a gland in my mouth. the surgery itself and the surgeon was amazing. the nurses on the other hand? couldn’t care less about their job. it took 3 days for me to get actual care. they didn’t clean my scar, wouldn’t give me my pain meds until i was crying and begging for it. they didn’t give me my daily medicine until 3 days after my surgery, and then giving me the highest dose instead of slowly letting me back on it. the meds i take can cause harm doing that. i was “accidentally” given morphine. nurses wouldn’t pay attention and would pull on the drain hanging out of my neck. on the 3rd day i called the front and asked for a patient advocate and was told i wasn’t aloud to have one until i was discharged. my husband had to yell and get a charge nurse up there. and before “banner “ tried to comment to send the email i already did. i ended up going back 15 days after my surgery. they requested a ct but didnt go over the results with me, while it states there is cancer found around my spine. very excited to talk to my doctor about that. i wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

My 3 yr old grandbaby almost died because they did nothing but say he had a viral infection. No blood work or tests even though he was floppy, had not eaten in days or even peed in almost 24hrs hrs. He was in and out in 2hrs. He was later admitted to TMC that same night for 7 days and put on a feeding tube. The employees at UMC treated us like we were bothering them and didn't have time. My advice to any parents is never take your child there!!!
