Terrible practice. I have severe wheezing and chronic coughing. The physician prescribed me Advair. It gave me a severe headache. I have called numerous times asking them to return my call. They did but instead of leaving a message as to how to proceed, they wanted me to call them back. I did call them back twice but no response. My experience with this practice has been awful. No wonder they have a 3.5 rating. I do not recommend
Dealt with this place 7 years ago the billing is horrible although I was making payments they sent me to collections because all their bills are sent separately and the lady that handles the cpap is horrible .very mean , very ugly so I quit going.. went back today to try it again same exact results wasted my time turnaround and left I would never ever go back there again. And office manager is very mean..never problem with the drs.. .
Appointment scheduled more than 6 weeks but wanted an earlier appointment but it wasn't available. I received a text to confirm 3 apointments 2 weeks before, so I confirmed the appointment, then proceeded to fill out the medical history. I received another text to confirm the appointment again but ignored. Then I received a phone call to confirm it again, the person on the phone stated they started following up with a phone call to confirm. Since I had 3 appointments which started a 7:55am we arrived early at 7:40am. They call me back right away to get xrays because that was the first appointment. They bring me back to inform me that the xray machine is out of service and it's been out of service for 2 weeks. Why not inform me of that 2 weeks ago. Should we have confidence in this medical establishment? My time means nothing to you. Next appointment 8:20 breathing test. This appointment was for a special needs person. Why don't we have tests to accomodate special needs? Needless to say that appointment was a waste because the person couldn't comprehend the instructions. Next appointment 9am with Dr.Bhatt. Dr. walked in at 9:30am. That was about 30 minutes but the doctor was thorough. Nethertheless, I was livid 2 hours 20 minutes later. There is no excuse for the mismanagement of this office. After my son was discharged from the hospital, he was supposed to followup with this office but I took him to Atlanta to see a Pulmologist because I didn't want to deal with these doctors from this practice. I was right the first time.
My husband definitely needed his CPAP machine and I'm glad the doctors here took it seriously and now we are having a much better quality of life at home. However the reviews about the financial department are absolutely correct. He does have a different way of doing insurance through his work place that they never seem to grasp, which one can easily get over though we do have to call about the bill every time. The most egregious is that they have you buy the CPAP through them, which comparatively the price of the machine vs what insurance would charge was completely different so that's fine, but then they don't remember that buying through them doesn't go towards insurance deductibles. So they don't tell you when you're ordering replacements that the items may not be covered. I just think that if it's going to be common to suggest NOT using insurance to buy such expensive machines, you need to remember and remind patients about how that will affect future expenses. I'm sorry - it's just that if it is your job to help patients navigate medical expenses, you need to really help. If people know ahead of time that you're going to be ordering hundreds of dollars of machine parts that won't be completely covered, you need to say that. Because then maybe some different choices that don't break the bank would be covered.
After seeing all the bad reviews I was really hesitant to attend my appointment that my GP referred me to here. However, I have had no problems whatsoever with any of my interactions with the staff. I arrived early for my appointment like I was asked. My x rays and breathing test were done in a timely and efficient manner. The doctor was great and proficient and even provided me with samples of the medicine she was prescribing. When my insurance did not cover that particular medicine I had to call in to get it switched. This happened not once but twice and the office staff I spoke with were accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone needing help with breathing issues!
