After checking in, I am writing this an hour later as I still have not been called in. I asked the receptionist how much longer and she said soon— that was 30 minutes ago. Update, finally been called in and told the doctor will be with me shortly. Will finish review after that wait time and actual visit is done. Ok 15 minutes in room, 15 minutes with the doctor. He’s a nice man but not sure I will keep this clinic because of the wait.
Office staff are Unprofessional when it comes to phone calls. They will place calls on hold for over extended amount of time or worse do not come back to answer the call. They are notorious for hanging up after they have answered the call. I have been hung up on more times than have actually talked to anyone. The phone line is also notorious for having a busy signal for hours at a time. I started in July needing a preauthorized prescription sent to my insurance, however, still as of October the insurance has not received the paperwork. My insurance has attempted in assisting in getting the prescription received but no luck. Unfortunately, the doctor is aware of the situation.. But I guess that's what happens when the office manager is the wife of the doctor.
I have never been to a more incompetent doctors office. The ladies that work at the front desk have always been super polite, but that doesn’t make up for how poorly that office is ran. Regardless of the long wait times, even when you have a scheduled appointment, any time I’ve called I can never get a straight answer. One time a lady didn’t put me on hold, she put the phone down on the desk for 10 minutes, I know because I could still hear the office noise in the background. Some other lady picked up the phone and asked me what I needed help with and then took another five minutes to track down the first lady, then they said they would call me back with the answer but never did. A similar situation to that has happened to me two more times. They always promised to call back with the information, then never do. However, the reason I am making this review today is because of my last visit. It was my six month check up, not only did the doctor not know why I was there, but they also left me in a room for over an hour and FORGOT ABOUT ME. Literally. Forgot. About a whole patient in their building. A nurse came to put another patient in the room that I was waiting in, because for some reason they use their exam rooms as waiting rooms, & was shocked to still see me sitting there. When I finally saw the doctor, he DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHY I WAS THERE, because apparently I was supposed to come in for a year check up, even though HE SCHEDULED the six month. He literally asked me if I quit vaping, which I had six months ago, then sent me on my way. Of course that was infuriating, but I wasn’t even going to bother writing a review because I am supposed to only have one final visit at this place. Until I got a bill for this lovely visit. They wanted to charge me $150 for forgetting me in that room. Not even for talking with the doctor, because that they charged me an extra $20 for that. They literally have a TWENTY DOLLAR charge JUST for the question of asking if you vape. I am so completely blown away that this office could be so incompetently ran, and then on top of that money gouge their patients. Absolutely disgusting, deplorable behavior. I will never be returning.
Appointment at 1pm here early. Signed in early for the elder I care for. Brought back about 115. To sit in the room for over an hour. Staff is friendly. As is the Dr. But the wait time is worse here than the va for scheduled appointments. Especially for a follow up appointment. That took less than 5 min with the Dr.
The Doctor that I was seen by and the clerical staff were very nice, helpful and professional. I mark them as a 3 because of the respiratory therapist who ran my test yesterday. I never knew his name. When he called for me he had come out from behind a door after he called me he withdrew back into the office area leavingm me as I adjusted my cane to get moving. I had to catch up with him..I got into the examination room and I saw a plug. My phone had a low charge and I had my charger cord, I asked him if he minded waiting while I plugged in my phone. He said nothing impatiently waiting for me to hook it up. When he administered the test, he only give me instructions of what to do he put this pincher on my nose which was uncomfortable with no forewarning that it would be uncomfortable.. He gave me sn inhalant from his desk that he didn’t clean nor did he clean it when I was finished. When the test was over he said that’s it. He started to walk away again. I didn’t know if he meant that test or the testing. I have never felt that I was invading on his time in any other medical procedure anywhere before this treatment I was subjected. I’m scheduled to do a sleep therapy. I will not tolerant another rude technician.
