Was in the ER for pain. As soon as they ruled out a heart attack, they lost interest. They drew some blood and left me alone. I was alone for 2 hours in pain. Monitor was going off, and I called out for someone to take me to the bathroom, no one came in. I had to go to the bathroom and there was no call light. Gave me some pain meds and discharged. Not even an x-ray to see where the pain may be coming from. Filing a complaint online with the Oregon Medical Board and the Better Business Bureau.
BAH billing is an absolute nightmare. I have been dealing with them since January and it has been nothing but a headache. Trying to get a hold of someone is impossible, apparently there is only one person that is able to issue refund checks and if you’d like to speak with a manger or supervisor-good luck. HR wasn’t even able to tell me who was in charge of the billing department. If it wasn’t for Dr. Rogalsky and his team I would never set foot in that place and hopefully I never have to again.
I left a review previously but deleted it because the provider I had, which I never met and finally got rid of as of today, staff demanded I return to this so called hospital since they could not see me or acknowledge my medical concern that had been going on almost 3 months. So I why I'm against my better judgement. I was told I had to get an IV because I was going to have a CT scan with contrast. The gal doing the scan was I guess not in a good mood. When she administered the contrast it was excruciating. Yet she continued. Over a week later my arm is swollen bruised can barely move hot to the touch. That's the least of my problems. Are my scan I was taken to a secondary waiting area, limbo I believe. I sat there 4 hours. Never acknowledged. My insides hanging out of my body. I finally got someone's attention told then to remove the IV port and I left since my clothes were soaked with blood and mucus. I was beyond uncomfortable, embarrassed and humiliated. I suffer from PTSD so sitting in a small room with people non-stop chattering while I'm in excruciating pain was unbearable. Come to find out the person who wrote my intake information pretty much wrote down whatever they wanted. Didn't write anything I actually said. Absolute lies!!! No wonder I was never seen. This is the second, and LAST time I ever go there. Never seen my a Dr. Never examined. Never treated like a human being. The word CARE shouldn't be in the sentence describing this place. Neither should health! People deserve actual care especially when they go to the emergency room! I'm sure they try urgent care and they try their providers. For some reason this area is absolutely awful when it comes to receiving care for medical needs that can't wait months. And is it too much to ask for anyone to not be rude? What happened to kindness? Empathy? Sympathy? If you don't have bedside manner maybe find another line of work.
For the largest hospital on the Oregon coast the doctors here are the worst. Nurses and other staff are super nice and helpful. Go in with a serious infection and get "What do you want me to do about it". Didn't really even examine it or do any tests. In and out in 15 minutes with no testing or solutions. We have to drive 2 and a half hours to Eugene to get actual help.
The hospital is nice, cafeteria great, nurses fantastic! The problem we had was communication with the doctors. They told my husband that they were discharging him. They pulled the IV and he put his clothes on . It is almost 3 hours since they said he gets to go home. My mother informed me she had to take my dad to the emergency room at a different hospital. (It's in a different town) I let the staff know we needed to leave. The poor nurses sent several messages to the resident on duty (a woman doctor. I can't remember her name) with zero response. I may end up leaving my husband here. (I am his ride home). This is beyond frustrating. I'm waiting to hear from my mother before I leave my husband. Oh and the icing on the cake...just found out there are no orders to discharge in the system. Over it!
