After struggling with waking up many times through the night for the entirety of my life (21 yr old), I decide to visit a specialist. I understand that maybe I just don't sleep well, and there is no medical issue causing it. I still opt for a sleep study just to be sure there wasn't anything wrong, or that there wasn't any room for improvement. When I come in to review the results with the doctor(Amy), she tells me that everything came back great on my results. This is awesome, however, Amy starts listing the most absurd reasons for my bad sleep and possible at home remedies for *falling* asleep. Note: my issue is STAYING asleep, not falling asleep. "I think with the state of the world right now, no one gets very good sleep". I just paid $400 for you to tell me no one gets good sleep? Then Amy goes on to offer me anxiety or depression medications, although I did not at any point mention a hint of struggle in those categories. All of this to say, it could've been a 5 star experience (open appointments, quick response with results, billing was fine, etc.), except Amy seemed entirely out of touch with my issue.
Amy Galloway and her nurse Becky are fabulous!!! All the staff are helpful, friendly, and professional! I always have a good experience at HMG sleep lab and always leave with a smile, they actually care and it shows They go above and beyond if you need ANYTHING.
Dr. Cynthia Dean, the nurses, and administrative staff at the HMG sleep center are among the top 3 care teams I have ever been cared for by. (The other two are also in the HMG.) Dr. Cynthia answers my questions, thoroughly reviews my records and present condition, ensures that I understand my treatment, and does a fantastic job at partnering with me to better my health. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Cynthia and the staff at the sleep center to anyone looking for a sleep doctor.
If you are leaving the sleep center at 5:30 am you should have a security person their to make sure you get to your car safely. The sleep center employees were very nice and professional. As for your patients and employees I hope you take this seriously. There is one when you go in so why not have one when your patients leave.
I wish I could give a ZERO review. My son had a sleep study here and HMG continues to MISBILL the insurance for it, no matter how many times I call and supply the correct information. Today, my son received a call from collections because this group is inept. When I call the office, I am required to LEAVE a message requesting a call back. I have never----not once---received a call back. I am planning to file a complaint with the TN Board of Medicine against Dr. Bass since the office where he works is adversely giving bad medical care since insurance is a FACT of LIFE, for their livelihood. Go elsewhere!! Run away!!! Piss, poor organization!
