I had a tiny flutter moth go in my ear and right down my ear canal. Went to ER, they registered me quickly and ER nurse came and got me within a couple of minutes. The nurse was fantastic, evaluated me and took me back to a room. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because it was 45 minutes before they came back. Once they came back they worked on me almost continuously. Was never left for more than a couple of minutes. Dr.Ackerman came and worked her magic and was able to remove the moth. Dr.Ackerman, the head nurse, & the rest of the staff we're fantastic!! If I ever half to back, I sure hope I get the same staff. Thank you to all of them

Have taken my daughter to the ER with an injured ankle two times. The triage nurse was very rude to her on the second trip and ended up leaving before she was seen after four hours. They took people back that had just came in when we were already there for hours. Both times we were there for almost four hours.

literally so rude. i was in the hospital about a month ago due to trying to take my own life. they took my phone, yelled at me for no reason, forced me to stay overnight just so they could get my insurance money. it’s pathetic, the staff is pathetic, their work is pathetic. they are so rude for no reason. why would you treat a suicidal patient that way? i’m an adult. they had no right to take my phone or make me stay overnight. possibly one of the worst hospitals i’ve ever been too. not to mention i already have high blood pressure which normally ranges from abt 150 over 90-95. they had me so stressed that my blood pressure raised to 190 over 105. then tried to blame it on the medication i took. this hospital needs to be shut down. that’s probably why they built a new hospital lol

I was in the ER on Saturday night 7/12with severe right side and back pain scale of 8. My nurse came in the room immediately. 45 minutes later….. still no Dr. I hit the call button to ask for anything for pain, even a Tylenol or ibuprofen. The staff member that came in said he wasn’t sure why the Dr hadn’t been in because they weren’t busy. Another 15-20 minutes and the Dr finally came in. He finally ordered pain meds, which I waited another 15min for. Got an IV, blood drawn, and then pain meds. Had a few other things done…. I just think it’s absolutely ridiculous to have to wait for an hour for a physician to come in period, let alone when a person is in pain. Unfortunately DMC has lost my business. I’ll be in pain another 20 min to go to St Joes in Buckhannon.

Dr. Misha Phillips-Lee is an excellent primary care physician. I would highly recommend her. Dr. Lucas Pavlovich is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon . He did a total hip replacement for me and everything went along as swimmingly. Would definitely recommend him and we’ll see him to have the other hip replaced in the near future. Can’t say enough good words about this man. The biggest downfall of this hospital is the fact that they still employed Dr. Kristine Edwards on staff. She nearly killed me with a routine gallbladder surgery, and I was one of the lucky ones. I know several people that did not make it as a result of her botched surgeries. She left this hospital for a short time, but they re-hired her. After my botched surgery, I ended up back in the emergency room less than 24 hours later and had to go in to the operating room with another surgeon to correct the damage that she did plus have a stent put in for three months. Then I had to return after that three months to have the stent removed. Shortly, after all of these procedures, I developed an incisional hernia which had to be surgically repaired. However, it was done at another facility.
