ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital

My fiance went in for his chest pain and they only gave him a breathing test and a inhaler and tested him for covid and strep....then sent him home,that same night he died. They didn't do any other test or X-rays.

I went here last night got rushed by emt they ended up sending me home still in a lot of pain and blood in my stool. Went home got really sick again passed out emt came to get me they were not friendly bc they had to come to my house a 2 time the one guy was really nice. Told them when we got to the hospital i felt like i was going to pass out bc the pain and I was in the waiting room for almost an hr threw up on my self still did not take me back so my dad yelled at them and took me to Toledo they kept me overnight and told me they should of never released me in that much pain and not being able to hold down the meds they gave me I do not recommend this hospital at all

I came to ER and was admitted for pneumonia. Staff were all great and took good care of me. Third floor nurses were very kind and attentive. Food was good too. I had good experience and feel blessed to have this hospital in our community.

I was treated so terribly here. At the end of April of this year I was seen by Benjamin Mantei. I went to the hospital because I woke up one day and could barely walk or stand. I am o ly 30 years old and never had bad health. I was in so much pain I was shaking. I got to the hospital and they had me take a ur*ne test to see if it was my appendix. While in the waiting room, I got my test results on the mychart app. There was an abnormal amount of bl**d in my ur*ne. Then I got called back. The nurse walked so fast back there I couldn't keep up and had to find my way to her. Then I wait in the room and here comes Benjamin Mantei. He said, "I dont think there's anything wrong with you". I Then asked him about the ur*ne test I took and he said, "Oh, I didn't even look at that". So after trying to convince this man that I was in real pain he said, "well I guess we could do a CT scan if you want". We did the scan, I waited and then he came bsck and said "nothing is wrong with you" and sent me on my way. Told me to go pick up lidocaine patches and call it a day. I couldn't walk for 3 weeks. The pain was unimaginable. I did things for myself that I read about on the internet and slowly healed. I went for my yearly physical recently and my primary care doctor looked at my CT scan and told me my L5 vertebrae had slipped and that I have spondylosis. I don't think Benjamin Mantei even looked at my CT scan since he admitted to not looking at my ur*ne test. I was extremely neglected by this person. If you see this person is taking care of you please ask for a different physician. He is not there to take care of people. Benjamin Mantei needs his medical license revoked!!!

Had a surgery here, and it was a great experience. Everyone did a fantastic job. Came to the ER a week later to be seen for a bad luck complication of the surgery and again everyone was very professional, nice and accommodating.
