Really liked my doctor, Dr. Cohen, yet fully agree about the charges noted below. I am required to pay nearly $300 for a 20 min check up with a doctor, with insurance. I can't imagine what the cost would be if I actually had a medical procedure with this office. I expected more from Duke Health.

Dr. Xiaoyang Hua MD is very awsome doctor I like him from my 1st appointment. He was very nice, very detailed with everything and my questions. On my second appointment he told I needed surgery on my ear, he very concern with my ear and my well being.i used the Duke Chart I send him email my questions. He emailed me right then and personally call me to answer all my questions. He told me to bring my family so can discuss everything to them. So we did he was very nice talking to my family too. He very honest with my surgery he made sure to let us know there is no guarantee of no pain and etc with my ear. I done my surgery today with him. He done very GREAT JOB AND OF COURSE GOD HAD HIS HAND INTO too through him. Thanks to everyone that assistant him too. Thankyou, Bobbie Saul's and my family. God bless to all of you @ Duke

Mixed feelings that my doc, Sam Fisher isn't there anymore. Now I'll miss writing as scathing review of his monumental incompetence and insufferable arrogance. Instead, I'll be happy that all the other patients who may try Duke ENT will avoid him. I am still concerned, though, that somebody thought he "earned" his medical degree and the right to practice at Duke. That person might still be making similar misjudgments.

Be prepared to be absolutely be hosed by them billing you and your insurance as a Hospital Visit, despite taking their "Specialist" co-pay. Service was fine. It was not worth $1000 for a half-hour visit. Do not go here unless you are on Medicaid or you will get soaked with bills.

If this had 0 stars I would have chosen that. I recently went to see a specialist and ended up with an appointment with PA Jenalyn Kay Logan. My health problems were diminished and she was not respectful whatsoever. At one point during the visit I had a question and started to speak when she held up her pointer finger and said "I'll give you your attention in a minute". She had poor communication and undermined my concerns. She was condescending and made me feel so uncomfortable that I had to seek elsewhere for care. My primary care doctor disagreed with the consult and recommended a second opinion. You would think a specialist would be able to help. I could go into more detail about the actual medical treatment I got that was unnecessary and repetitive making my pharmacist even second guess giving me medication but I'll leave it at this. On top of this, the Duke Risk Management department is so degrading and does not care about their patients and how they are treated. They disregarded the entire situation not willing to do anything about it. The only thing they could say to me was "I'm sorry but it stands as is" I love my DUKE Primary Care Doctor however after experiencing this awful encounter with the DUKE ENT as well as their Risk Management Department...specifically David, I will never be going there again. I will also be telling my family and friends not to waste their time and money.
