Physical therapists do no respect peoples time, was there for an appointment for my father at 7am. No was one in the building or given notice and no one was there by the time of his appointment. Very unprofessional Also waited 1hr 30 min in the lab just to have my blood taken.
Never went to this facility but was scheduled today for an MRI on my spine. Facility very clean, accessible, on ground floor, all the people were very, very sweet, pleasant. I got there early so Paula checked me in, very friendly, nice, checked me in early, taken in a timely manner. Both young ladies were so sweet and nice. Kayla MRI tech just a sweetheart! The other beautiful young lady with dark hair was just as sweet. It made a not so pleasant test worth the trouble. Thank you to all UPMC staff. I haven't had this test for years because of old nerve stimulator was not compatible but the upgraded version is. Hint to patient, if you have new upgraded version, just make sure the remote and battery implanted is fully charged. Sincerely, Patient-Heather Compton.
I have been going to the UPMC outpatient center on Manheim Pike for many years. I find the facility to be easy access, clean and convenient. Dr. Sisbarro and her staff have always been open, kind, good-natured and very professional. Dr. Sisbarro takes her time during my visits and has never let me down when I ask a question, always answering with patience. Finally, I like the convenience of doing many of my tests and blood work in the same building.
In every previous visit, my experiences with this office had been positive. However, during my last visit, I found myself in an unexpected and distressing situation. I was dealing with intense pain and had just finished a course of strong antibiotics. Despite not showing signs of infection, the pain was severe. I requested a stronger pain reliever than the one I was currently taking to address this suffering, but my request was denied. When I asked for a reason, I was simply told that the doctor does not prescribe pain relievers for this type of pain. Instead, I was offered a prescription for an additional antibiotic, which seemed unnecessary, as my symptoms did not indicate an active infection. What I urgently needed was relief from the intense pain—not another round of antibiotics. As a result, I had to leave my primary doctor’s office and seek care from an urgent care facility, where another physician assessed my situation and promptly provided the needed pain relief. It felt fundamentally wrong to be forced to endure that level of suffering and to have to seek out another medical provider for relief that could have been provided by my primary doctor.
Dr. Megill is the best he listens to what you have to say and takes into account all of the concerns you have and is very good with communication and explaining things that I couldn’t understand. Also very prompt I’m glad I found an actual doctor that listens and cares about his patients. The staff is also very helpful and understanding.
