Nemours - Deptford Sleep Center

I’ve been taking my son to Nemours recently for a few different things from orthopedic care, sports medicine, and now physical therapy and I can honestly say the experience has been amazing. Making appointments is always easy, they seem to have better availability than most places, and every single person we’ve met has been so friendly and patient. The whole atmosphere is centered around kids, which makes such a difference when your child isn’t feeling their best. The staff explains everything in a way we can actually understand and always makes sure we know what the plan is. A huge thank-you to Dr. Haas and to Megan, his physical therapist. They’ve both been incredible in helping my son through his concussion recovery. I truly can’t recommend Nemours enough.

my daughter needed an MRI under sedation, and we have come to this center for many other doctor appointments. this was our first time in the surgical area(second floor). i can't say we had the best experience. this was the first time my 2 year old needed anesthesia so anxiety was at an all time high. being questioned by the preop nurse when i know what is best for my daughter was strike one. Dr. George (anesthesiologist) was every strike after that. he did not interact with my child, what so ever. i also watched him try to start an IV on my child (mind you, my child was sedated orally and did not move for this) and he stuck her 3 times. he also stuck her with the same needle he missed on the 2nd try. he ended up getting a successful IV in the spot i told him to go originally, but still ended up digging in my daughters AC. very unhappy with him. also, while my daughter was in recovery I was told i would be present (considering she is only 2 and can not advocate for herself) and they postop-ed her while i was in the waiting room. i was told it would be an hour procedure and it took an hour and a half with no update. sitting in the waiting room with pure anxiety. i can not say i recommend this place for sedated procedures. do better dupont.

We had an amazing experience from the second I called to schedule an appointment to the second we walked out. I highly recommend the Deptford Nemours location. I already spoke so highly them all day after our appointment and wanted to reach out and leave a good review. Thank you Ms. Morgan Gilcrest & staff for your patience, punctuality, and extreme kindness. You put my son and I at ease and were extremely helpful and courteous. We appreciate you! 🙏

We just had my son's ears checked here by Dr. Bluher. My son is autistic and doctor's appts are a nightmare for him. Dr.Bluher was so patient, he was able to calm down my son and was able to check his ears without the usual struggle. Big thanks also to Ms.Cassidy,the nurse,who had to look for a toy because we promised to give my son one,but us, the parents, forgot to bring one. Also to the audiologist(sorry,I didn't get your name). You guys are awesome!Shout out too to the front desk ladies, they understood when my son started having a meltdown at the receiving area. Thank you!

I can’t say enough great things about Nemours Children’s Hospital in Deptford! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, kindness, and an unmatched level of professionalism. The staff here truly go above and beyond to make sure every child (and parent!) feels seen, heard and cared for. A special thank you to Dr. Karen Carvalho—her incredible customer service, attention to detail, and genuine compassion set the tone for an outstanding experience. She took her time explaining everything thoroughly, answered all of our questions with patience, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the visit. It’s rare to find someone who is not only skilled but also truly passionate about their work and Dr. Carvalho exemplifies that perfectly.
