My father spent eight days at Jeanes Campus – Temple University Hospital after being transferred there during an emergency because Fox Chase Cancer Center did not have an available bed. Those eight days directly coincided with a drastic and irreversible decline in his health. This hospital did not have the capability, expertise, or basic standards of care required to treat a critically ill cancer patient. The nursing staff was incompetent, dismissive, and at times openly rude. There was a clear lack of knowledge regarding cancer care, and my father’s treatment was reduced to basic symptom management with no understanding of the underlying disease. Requests were ignored or delayed. Issues that should have raised immediate concern were treated casually. The level of negligence was shocking. This was not just a lack of specialization. It was a lack of basic medical vigilance. The staff appeared overwhelmed, undertrained, or indifferent. The cumulative effect of this neglect played a significant role in the rapid deterioration of my father’s condition. The facility itself is unacceptable. The hospital was visibly dirty, poorly maintained, and equipped with outdated equipment. Hygiene standards were questionable at best. For a patient already immunocompromised and critically ill, this environment was dangerous. Jeanes Hospital was not equipped to care for my father, yet he was left there for eight days while his health deteriorated. No urgency. No escalation. No accountability. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone under any circumstances, especially not someone facing a life-threatening illness. If you or a loved one require serious, specialized medical care, do everything in your power to avoid this facility. My father did not receive care here, he was just shelved while dying.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Worst hospital experience – Stay away I had the worst experience at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia on 12/14/2025. I went to the emergency room for severely elevated blood pressure and high blood sugar, which are serious medical conditions. Despite this, I was left sitting and waiting for over 8 hours without ever being seen by a doctor. During the wait, my condition worsened and I began feeling unwell, so I had no choice but to get up and leave without receiving any medical care. The staff showed no sense of urgency, no customer service skills, and had extremely bad attitudes. Patients were treated as if they didn’t matter. To make matters even more alarming, a woman had a seizure in the waiting area after waiting far too long, which shows just how unsafe this place is when it comes to emergency care. This is by far the worst hospital in Philadelphia. If you value your health or your life, please stay away from Jeanes Hospital. Consider yourself warned.

I visited Jeanes Temple Hospital in September due to severe flank pain. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The doctor I saw was dismissive of my symptoms and did not take the time to listen or explain things thoroughly. Additionally, the RN who assisted me seemed inexperienced and lacked professionalism and bedside manner. I felt that my concerns were brushed off and that I wasn’t treated with the level of care and attention every patient deserves when seeking medical help. I came to the hospital in genuine pain and distress, but I left feeling unheard and unsupported. After my visit, I reached out to Patient Relations to express my concerns. However, instead of addressing how I was treated as a patient, they only responded by listing what was done during my hospital stay. Nothing was said about the lack of compassion or professionalism I experienced, which I found to be completely unacceptable. I hope that the hospital takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training on patient care, empathy, and communication — as these qualities make a significant difference in a patient’s experience.

Worse emergency ward I ever been to. I got there to check in and the lady outside the security room in there laughing and playing around with I guess a friend while I am waiting to check in with chest pains. After 10 minutes while they watch me and I am looking back at them, I left. Not worth it. Got people out there that would be happy to have her job and do it right. The waiting room was like a homeless shelter. I will be staying away from that place. Worse hospital I ever been in. The lady guard was nice. She kept apologizing because I told her why I was leaving. Don't have time for ignorance. It wasn't even her fault. Stay away from Jeanes Hospital. Never seen it like this before. I wouldn't be surprised if it is shut down. Maybe that is what it takes for people to appreciate they have a job.

It was a very terrible and horrible experience for me and for my mother. It was like a nightmare for us. My mother was crying with pain and shivering with cold but it seems that no one was interested in taking her inside. She was begging to the front desk lady as well as the nurse inside but no answer, no compassion and no mercy. We entered at 10:00 pm and left the hospital emergency at 4:00 am without being seen by a doctor. I asked the front desk lady and nurse what does Emergency mean? I asked Why are you sending a new patient with normal condition inside and not my mother with severe pain? Both were sending new patients inside but both were not caring about her pain and her age as she is around 80 and treating us like beggars. I highly recommended and requested that Hospital Management needs to take serious action and put trained and skilled people to avoid patients from suffering and long long waiting. It was a really very bad experience for my mother as well as for me. I do hope that the necessary action will be taken by the management to keep the Hospital's goodwill and reputation and name.
