I went in for a simple annual check-up, but I was shocked to receive a bill for a “complex visit” and a “depression screening” — neither of which actually happened. I later found reviews from another patient who was billed for the same items; health details were different, but the pattern and attitude were identical — they were treated the same way. (Same PCP) I tried to reach out to get this corrected, but no one responded. It’s extremely frustrating to be billed for services I never received, and the lack of communication makes the situation even worse. Additionally, she belittled ongoing treatments I’m already receiving and insisted that my back pain was due to a failed surgery, even though I explained it was triggered by a recent car accident. I felt pressured to get a referral repeatedly, as if the surgery was at fault. One star feels generous — it doesn’t even deserve that. This is unacceptable.

I had been seeing Dr. Salerno for the last few years and truly looked forward to my annual visits with him. He remembered me, listened, and always took the time to understand my concerns. Unfortunately, he is no longer with Jefferson, and this year’s annual visit (August 2025) was with Dr. Nidhi Agrawal after two prior appointments were canceled because other doctors left. From the start, this visit was disappointing. Dr. Agrawal walked in late, apologized for being on a call, but continued texting on her phone even as she entered the room. I had to wait until she finished before she paid attention to me. When I mentioned that my concern was worsening anxiety, she immediately told me I should go back on medication. She did not about my history, lifestyle, or preferences. I explained that my previous doctor recommended exercise, which I’ve been doing 5 days a week with great results, but she dismissed that completely and insisted medication was the only option. When I mentioned possibly requesting a work accommodation due to stress, she cut me off and said, “Jobs aren’t allowing people to work from home.” She never asked what my job was, what I do, or whether that was even an option for me. Her response was abrupt, dismissive, and showed zero effort to understand my situation. I also asked for standard preventive testing (HIV and other labs) that I routinely receive every year and is covered by my insurance. She questioned why I wanted testing and said, “We don’t just test every time.” I reminded her that this was a preventive visit and that I’ve always had those screenings as part of my annual care. The visit ended awkwardly, and as I was leaving, she called me back because she had forgotten to check my lungs-which says everything about the lack of thoroughness. Weeks later, I found inaccurate notes in my chart and new charges for a “complex visit” and “depression screening”-which she told me she couldn’t perform and referred me elsewhere for. When I called the office manager to complain, she apologized but said I’d have to come in person to fill out a dispute form because it couldn’t be emailed or submitted via MyChart. She said she’d message the doctor to review the billing, but it’s been two weeks and no one has followed up. This entire experience was unprofessional, frustrating, and completely lacking in empathy. Dr. Agrawal showed poor bedside manners, seemed disinterested, and offered no real dialogue or understanding. I truly miss Dr. Salerno and will be following him to Cooper, where I know I’ll be treated with respect and care. Jefferson Cherry Hill has gone downhill and patients deserve better than this.

I have been at this practice for about 8 years. But the last year or so has been nothing but trouble. Doctor leave the practice, yes, but this means the patient has to put a hold on their medical needs. Need a medicine refill? Sorry, but this place will withhold refilling your medicine for several weeks, regardless of the complications it may cause with other medical issues. After 8 years, and I will be looking for a new office.

For the past three years, I have scheduled my appointments with wonderful providers. However, when I schedule follow up appointments, I inevitably get automated calls telling me the appointment is canceled because the provider no longer works there. Why can't this office seem to keep providers? I saw someone less than a month ago and now the follow-up is canceled because she no longer works there. That's the third time this has happened. Why isn't a PERSON calling letting me know the issue and offering alternatives?

I had an early morning appointment, came in to my appointment 10 minutes early and waited an HOUR in the doctors room before finally being seen. I’ve never had to wait so long just for an annual check up. The medical assistant wasn’t very nice. The doctor did listen to concerns I had about my health and ordered panels. However, after my bloodwork results came in they offered no help as to what was going on? Alternative reasons as to why I was feeling unwell? They even had me schedule a follow up to go over journal entries to determine what I ate or did that could have made me feel unwell but didn’t even do that. Instead, they just said everything looks fine and ended the call.
