JOB WELL DONE! As a nurse myself, I have always taken great care of my patients and their families. My husband and I received optimal care and attention from Kas (in ER). The transporter from ER to my room that realized my husband needed a wheelchair assist also due to his disability. Then once we arrived on the Buerger 2nd floor room, we had excellent care with very friendly staff: Temi (RN), Alana (RN), Ellis (CNA),Aly (CNA). These teams of medical workers are supreme and helped us so much. My husband has severe diabetes and HTN. His sugar was too low and they gave him juice and crackers to raise his levels. Please give these workers special recognition for going above and beyond in their duties!! Thank you Abington for a Job well done! Thank you for your care Kas,Temi,Ellis,Alana, Aly and Abington Jeff! Lillie Jackson and spouse Derek!
I had Best experience ever in labor and delivery. I was having my first baby and I can’t thank enough all the nurse to make this experience excellent. Thank you the provider Alicia Ham, and the nurses Jenn and Frankie. Jenn, I wish all the nurses in the world could have your work ethic and professionalism and treat the patients like you did. Thank you! You are the best.
The first two people I interacted with weren’t inviting or don’t like their job, first was the front desk to give me directions, didn’t give me full directions just pointed me in the direction I needed to go, the second person was registration, didn’t greet me and didn’t return my greeting of good morning, more interested in his cell phone, the third person (echocardiogram check in) was so pleasant and greeted me first with her smile and then said good morning and also asked if I needed my ticket validated, when downstairs she said we don’t validate (maybe at her desk only) but I didn’t even ask that question, the fourth person was the tech and she was friendly and explained to me what she would be doing. When you have people in a position that serves people you should like people and be inviting I felt like I was disturbing some of them
My son, who is only 2 years old, was transported to this hospital from a pediatric clinic yesterday and the lack of hospitality was astonishing. The nurse who never checked on us, the people at the counter who don't help, to the slowness, it was an AWFUL experience. My son was transported on an ambulance with and oxygen mask, I get to the hospital and they have no oxygen on him. My husband was with him in the ambulance and said he had it during the drive over. The doctor was aloof and said "well it's hard to really evaluate him when he's like this so I'll come back in a little while" while, yes, I agree and understand that it's challenging to assist with a BABY crying, but you try your best. We aren't here for fun. The nurse asked me "do you have a medical background?" Because I was asking a lot of questions and I came into the hallways saying "I need help, my son needs oxygen" since his levels were down in the 80s. The nurse assigned to my son was rude to me, my husband, my grandmother and simply did not care about my son. The nurse who asked me about a medical background came in and immediately put oxygen on through his nose, the other nurse came in and said "I don't want that on him, take that off of him" she gave him a tube of oxygen. I was talked about right in front of me. They never asked if we needed anything. She never came in and checked on my two year old whose struggling to breathe. I could write so much more but to save time, just don't go here! Find people who care. Nurses that you don't have to continually leave your patient to go find them and ask them "would you like to check on my son. His monitor is beeping." Then proceeds to look away from her computer to be rude and say" suree, be there in a minute" it was her tone and facial expression that said it all. Rude people! I said goodbye and happy holidays and they just waved. What a joke. Go somewhere else!
Care: I just delivered my son here. The nurse went above and beyond my expectations. Only pediatrician seems lower in staff and she was distressed when she visited my son. Food: Food was not so tasteful so bring your food. The portion is very small. I am talking about child size so prepare to be hungry. Building, facility: Some machine needs upgrades and staff had problems with them since I came into the delivery room. The room is small compared to to the other location at Norristown and you need to pay parking so not so welcome for visitors. Insurance and billing: I will try to upgrade this later but be aware they are slow on the discharge process so if you don’t have insurance will cost you more.
