I am extremely thankful for Dr. Garfield at the main location. I just visited from Georgia, and my overall visit was wonderful! Everyone that I encountered during my visit was pleasant and helpful. I felt seen, and most importantly heard. Dr. Garfield spent a long time with me, over 40 minutes for my visit. Dr. Garfield reviewed my medical history, asked me about my current symptoms that have been ongoing for the last 3 years, implemented a care/management plan for me, and gave me hope. I truly appreciate the care I received and am looking forward to what's to come. Thank you Dr. Garfield and team!! I just cry thinking about where I have came from, and how much you have already helped, when no one was listening, and viewed me as "normal" by my outside appearance, while I continued to suffer and fight to be heard. My family will be forever grateful 🙏🏾. Special shoutout to Supervisor Dana for getting my authorization approved for my CT scan so I could have it while I was visiting, opposed to having to wait until I came back to GA. 🩶🩶

I am currently in a trial program at Temple Lung Center. I first went there from Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital for a wide range of testing. All of the doctors and staff (Dr. Gerald Criner and Dr. Marchetti) and the receptionist have been awesome and responsive to me. . I hope to eventually be tested and put on the lung transplant program, as my FEV-1 is down to around 18% as I type this.

If you are thinking of going to Temple for a sleep study I strongly advise against it. I made the mistake of using them twice. Many years ago when I first suspected I had sleep apnea I was referred to Temple. I did a study and was diagnosed with Apnea. I was given a machine and told to schedule follow up. Long story short, my insurance didn't cover the cost since Temple failed to provide them with the necessary information, and I never got a follow up as no one answered their phones. Despite this, many years later I went back because I needed a new machine, and the same exact thing happened. They are grossly incompetent and indifferent. You call but no answers. You leave messages but no one calls back. You try to schedule an appointment but can't. They don't send insurance companies what is needed. You can go anywhere for a Sleep Study. DON"T Choose Temple.

I am a physician who has, from time to time, referred patients to them. I NEVER get any correspondence indicating their assessment and recommendations, no progress reports or updates on patient status. If you are a patient with a complex disease, commuication and collaboration among physicians is of paramount importance, but based on my experiences it doesn't seem to be a priority of theirs. I'm sure they are knowledgable and dogood work by the ook, but they definitely fail when it comes to communication and care coordination.
