I honestly wish I could give 0 stars to this hospital. They are absolute trash. Every time I end up there its horrendous. Went in at 950 with a sick 6 yo who is wheezing and they've called back several others that arrived after us. When I ask they don't know or care. Last time I was there they literally let me die when I was begging for help. They ordered me an anxiety pill instead and I coded because they ignored me. Just drive to odessa or Lubbock you'll probably be seen in Lubbock first.
I was in town to watch grandson play baseball and had an episode and wound up in the ER and had to stay for 3 days in the hospital. The nurses from the moment I arrived at the ER until I checked out were outstanding. They took care of me like I was family. I would highly recommend this place!
Came in because my stomach was in a lot of pain. Mind you I’m only out here for work soo was skeptical about new hospitals. They got me checked in and everything quickly. The wait to get to the back was a bit but hey what do you expect at an emergency room. Got back the doctor got to me quick and was very friendly. The nurse I had was amazing. Very professional. If I ever need to come back I will for sure be coming here.
My daughter was born June 21st. I went in on the 20th for an induction. All but 1 single nurse were absolutely amazing. I honestly do not remember the name of the nurse. I remember she was black and had long fake hair that was braided and feathered at the ends. She was the night shift head nurse. She pissed me off. She frankly doesn't need to be working labor and delivery. I wanted to hit her with how rude and arrogant she was. When the patient who has an epidural asks to be adjusted and saying "i can't breathe" you don't say "well that's just how we do it" She was basically forcing me to lay on my stomach! I have breathing problems and scheduled the induction due to them getting worse during pregnancy! I don't bloody care how you do it!!! My body said I can't breathe. The oxygen thing agreed with me too! She stressed me and my baby out and almost caused a c-section. I personally want the rate of c-sections during her shifts calculated. After she left I had my husband adjust me, guess what baby and I felt better for awhile. Then i asked for my leg to be put up in a stirrup and was finally able to sleep. Woke up to the morning shift coming in a couple hours later and pushed my baby out in 2 half pushes. The dr and her student did a great job!
I am now a victim of medical gaslighting. Emotionally traumatized, and now have a false diagnosis on my medical records. Now working with advocacy groups against medical malpractice. Their “quality management”, at Midland Memorial, is extremely biased during the grievance process. They will protect the hospital at all costs. Because that’s their job. They are betting on the fact that I will give up, that I’m just some random college student from out of state (I’m from MN). But I’m not giving up, and I will be sharing my story and spreading awareness. This is far from over. DO NOT GO HERE, EVEN IF YOURE DYING!!!! Please check out my photos attached, and if you can relate to my experience here, please feel free to reach out to me via my profile. I know I am not alone. We need justice ‼️ This is a rising issue in this country, and we need to advocate for ourselves, as patients.
