I bring my mother to specialists in Towers 1 and 2. Her physicians are all great. The offices are always clean. The front staff are always courteous, friendly and helpful. Wait times are always decent. Excellent care always. My only complaint is the security in Tower 2. Save for one guard who acted kindly once they just stand there. While entering and pushing my mother in a wheelchair the alarm went off at their security check in. I turned to three of them standing there to inquire if my bag should be checked. All three ignored my existence and did not respond. Completely unprofessional and rude. Thats unacceptable in any establishment.
Very clean and accessible has a cafe in the lobby, compared to every other hospital in the Bronx this is by far the best one in cleanliness and professionalism
Dr. Zachary Berliner is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. He answered all my questions in a simple and concise manner, and he is transparent about the whole surgical/recovery process. Also, I liked that he gives a realistic timeline of my recovery ❤️🩹
Frustrating Parking Experience at Montefiore 1250 Waters Place Montefiore Hospital at 1250 Waters Place seriously needs to improve its parking system for patients. The hospital has two towers, but even though they are part of the same facility, the parking validation doesn’t work across both. If you park in Tower 2 and your appointment is in Tower 1, you won’t get your parking validated—even though it’s the same hospital. To make matters worse, by the time you figure this out and try to move your car, you only have a 15-minute grace period. That’s not nearly enough time, especially when navigating multiple floors using two different elevators just to get to an appointment on the 11th floor. There is no direct elevator that goes all the way up, which adds unnecessary delays and stress. In the end, you can end up being charged $19 just because you parked in the “wrong” tower. It’s completely unreasonable and makes the entire experience frustrating for patients who are already dealing with medical appointments. Montefiore needs to seriously rethink this process and make it more patient-friendly.
Went for a medical visit. The place is newish and well-maintained. The staff and medical personnel are very polite and helpful. Parking is a nightmare: either bring someone to sit in the car to wait for you or pay for parking, which is expensive for the Bronx. 2hrs/$24?!
