DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED TO GET A PROSTHETIC… I’ve had mine for just a year (my first time ever I had a BKA in June 2024) and my prosthetic broke yesterday the top plastic piece broke off the top so I tried to call today to see if I could see Ben (my prosthetic doctor) for an emergency but unfortunately they said there is no openings so the soonest I can see him is two weeks away!!!! I an absolutely disgusted with this situation I can’t get around I have no wheelchair I have to use crutches and I’ve already fallen twice and I let the person who I called to schedule an appointment with know this and she said please hold and I assume she had let Ben know my situation and still I was scheduled two weeks out!! Ugh I honestly wish I never ever even started here to begin with. It’s so unfortunate and unfair I mean it’s not like I have two legs to walk n get around with I’m literally bawling right now and I wish I had known that if I ever needed an emergency like this that I would be seen same day.
People are nice, but scheduling is a total joke. I knew without talking to any doctor that I had severe sleep apnea. I have videos of myself gasping for air in my sleep, but still had to go through the process like everyone else. Fine, not a big deal but why does it take 10 months to get equipment? This process is so drawn out, its unbelievable. I think I even had a single appointment where they explained sleep apnea. Like I know what it is, why am I here? It took me a month to get this appointment from my original appointment and now i have to wait another month and a half for the next appointment? Then I got my equipment, I was referred to corner home medical, but they made my next appointment in house, where I did get my equipment, then when I had yet another appointment the doctor asked about corner home medical and it was like what do you mean, i got my stuff here? Just a few doors down from this room. Ive also placed 2 orders for replacements through their equipment website and both have been wrong. I had some appointments here and some in Burnsville. EDIT: Came to amend this review, they made an error and now my HP insurance claims are being denied. Its been weeks and there hasn't been a resolution. I called and explained the situation and they literally asked me "what would you like me to do about that?" YOU MADE AN ERROR, FIX IT! Please DO NOT GO HERE!
In regards to the sleep clinic. If you want to be on hold for more than hour then this is the place for you! If you want to be transferred to the wrong specialties, this is the place for you! Nurses and schedulers are incompetent. After repeated requests they still do not have my medical records up to date let alone correct. Hold times are lies, the call system is a joke. The only good thing about the sleep clinic is nurse practitioner Donna Wallace. She is incredible and the only reason I am still going here for treatment.
Takes a long time - several months - to get a follow up appointment for anything. I did a sleep study last summer. I got a CPAP machine in January 31st.after going to different provider..my follow up is May for the CPAP. You need to use nurse line or sleep educator when calling because it's first time with diagnosis - you need help. You will leave voicemails for them to call you back -its busy. Also get books to read up on topic, watch YouTube videos, use the app. Visit National Sleep Foundation website. Prepare a list of questions for your visits because you might not see your provider again for several months. I understand now why people stop CPAP - between getting machine and your first follow up is 4 to 5 months. Follow up for other sleep disorder are like 3 months.
I had a great experience doing a sleep study here. Brandy, the nurse who administered my study, was incredibly helpful, kind, and interesting. She explained the procedure thoroughly and was fun to work with! I felt so comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable environment. During the follow up, Donna Wallace, NP went over my results with me and she was AMAZING. She very very thoroughly describe the results and educated me the entire way through. She spent as much time as I needed discussing my symptoms with me and giving me advice on all aspects of my life. It was so evident that she is passionate about her work. I wish I could go back to her as my primary care provider she was so great!
