Borderline criminal level business and billing practices. I am sure the individual providers are all fine, but $859 for a strep test for a 6 year old is just flat out robbery.
In my personal experience, I would say that they are one of the best health facilities in the area. I have tried most of them in the area. They are the ones I always return to.The doctors and nurses are all wonderful in the walking department. Grateful for them.
If I could leave zero stars I would. We were in the area visiting family from out of town. We used MMC Walk-In Clinic in Minocqua for both kids for ear an ache and bad cough. The physician was nice enough and saw both of my kids in the same room at the same time for a total of 5 minutes. No Rx prescribed, all OTC recos. That's fine, but when we got home we received two bills, each for $550. These visits were billed as Emergency Room, not walk-in clinic visits. Since the clinic is attached to the hospital it's considered ER. I called MMC and they said that's just the way it is. I said I wasn't paying over a $1k for a 5 min visit to a walk-in clinic when my insurance covers such a visit. Their response was if we didn't they'll just end up in collection. What a racket, probably fraud, and absolutely horrible customer service. So instead of paying a $25 deductible for each visit, I'm paying over a $1000 dollars because ER falls under having to satisfy my family deductible first. I suggest you find an alternative to this place, any alternative.
I self scheduled an appointment through my Marshfield clinic app. They had several openings to pick from. One hour before my appointment I received a call letting me know my appointment was being canceled as they are not accepting new patients. She said they had no record of me ever being seen there despite my lab results from my last appointment being in my Marshfield account. She’s did offer to place me on the waiting list to become a new patient but it might be a while as the list is around 6000 people long! Or I could schedule at a different facility.
Beautiful nice hospital 🏥 and staff. Nurses were friendly. Romms are big and they had nices extra recliner for family to visit and stay at bedside. Only down fall is the halls are long so it's long walk from elevator for my elderly mom to go see my dad or to public bathroom. TVs are bit difficult with changing channels.
