Went to ER for an infection, was in ER for 4 hours 3 of those hours I was cleared to eat and drink and asked several people and nothing came EXCEPT a half-eaten turkey sandwich then was brought up to 3rd floor to lay on a bed in the hallway for 12 hours!!! Strongly don’t recommend going there if possible
Overall, the physicians are great nurses are they look busy but the one thing I didn’t like this hospital they have a charging station for your patients, but they they don’t really have you know like the wiring to charge your phone. You know in an emergency event people you’re not run to the hospital, not having the charger. My challenge with this hospital is that I went out and then when I returned to the hospital, I couldn’t find a parking lot. I have to drive all around the hospital to just to look for parking so this hospital visit for me is not pleasant and to the management if they could provide charging station with charger itself, it will help the family member or the patient visit, I was not at peace. My husband is having chest pain and he left his charger at work. And his stress cause his phone is dying, no one has a charger to charge his phone- his a businessman and if your phone dies on you , it makes it worst for him!
I’m not sure if this will get to her but nurse Meagan Riley in the PICU unit is an amazing person. My son and I stayed in the picu for two nights and both times she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. I’ve never met someone so polite and caring especially in the medical field. She deserves the world. Meagan thank you so much for your kindness, the world needs more like you. I hope I spelled your name correctly - Kendra.
Hi, recently I had to get medical care and was happy to see very friendly atmosphere. Specially the 6th Floor receptionists at Gynecology ward. A positive attitude matters which was overwhelmingly felt from that point onwards. Nurse Pam was outstoundingly professional and knew what exactly needed to be done. Nurse Manager Jenny Ross was very professional, friendly and always available to help. Gave u a feeling you were getting care right at your home. Nurse Carly was nice n friendly too.
My wife and I had our first baby at Good Samaritan Hospital, and we had an amazing experience with the Labor and Delivery team. The induction took about 30 hours, but the nurses Kate, Alyssa, and Carly were absolutely amazing. They were kind, patient, and supportive every step of the way. We seriously couldn’t have made it through without them. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall vibe of the unit was calm and professional. We also had a nice view of the Great South Bay. Even when things got intense, we always felt safe and cared for. The hospital food was actually pretty good too. That said, placing an order over the phone could take up to 30 minutes sometimes. In this day and age, an online ordering system would really help. When you're running on no sleep, waiting to get your food is rough. Overall, we're incredibly grateful for the team at Good Sam. If you're having your baby here, you're in great hands.
