Room was cozy and the bed was not too bad. Staff members were very professional and did a good job explaining everything. The room was a bit chilly but I wore a sweatshirt and I was fine.
My nurse was amazing. Making sure I was as comfortable as I could be. I have some complaints though. The bed was absolutely awful and it was freezing inside. Just not comfortable at all. You really should provide bigger blankets. The television was also hard to work. Maybe put in a pamphlet to show how to work it. All in all I would not go back for another study. I would try another place if needed.
The Neurocare Center for Sleep at 70 Wells Avenue in Newton, Massachusetts, was outstanding. I arrived early and partook of their waiting room area. The building facility is immaculate, and the accommodations are excellent. The Center opened punctually, and I immediately met Carl, the technician who was assigned to me. He was very polite, efficient, and professional. Carl knew his procedures well and had me properly wired me up for the study in a matter of minutes. When the study was completed the next morning, he even helped me to the parking lot. My Laryngologist promptly received the report later that afternoon which provided him with all the information he needs to address my sleep apnea. Thank you, Neurocare Newton, for your help.
I am concerned that the unit was not recording properly. Very professional and nice staff essentially told me there were no problems with the study unit. If there were, they would’ve noted that when reading the results off of the unit. This is not possible if it is blinking that I’m not breathing and I’m awake and talking to it. There’s a problem.! I now have results in my chart that I feel are not accurate. I essentially have no recourse in this, both my insurance company and myself will still have to pay for this. The incorrect results are a much more serious matter. I could not and will never recommend this provider.
I had such a positive experience with Neurocare in Newton. The two staff members I interacted with were extremely warm and friendly, and they made the check-in and setup process smooth and even kind of fun. The room and bed were comfortable, even with all of the sensors and equipment hooked up. I had access to outlets, a TV, and a white noise machine to help make the experience comfortable. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to fall asleep and by how kind and accommodating the Neurocare team was throughout the process.
