Came from Canada to have spine surgery with Dr Jay Zampini. It was an excellent experience. Dr Zampini is a consummate professional as are all of his staff. The hospital was immaculate and the staff are all very eager to please. Of special note is Alice Robert my International Patient Coordinator. Alice is a rockstar. She was incredibly helpful throughout the process and was always ready to assist.

Yes I would recommend, although while dropping off my wife on Friday Oct 11, there was a traffic jam at the main entrance, due to an abandoned vehicle. Two security personnel came out and one of them a large man decided it was OK to berate the man behind the vehicle that was abandoned. Why? Was he aggravated he wasn’t capable of doing his job properly. He had upset quite a few people. Security intimidation tactics at your hospital should be eliminated. Nobody should have to listen to something like that while they’re going in to be treated at any hospital. You people should be ashamed and that security guard should be suspended.

The worst patient care and time I have ever received in a hospital. Was told to stay overnight for an 11pm MRI, then was told it would be at 7am the following morning, then was told it would be at 4pm but could be bumped. If I did receive a 4pm MRI then I was told I would need to stay an additional night because neurologists are not there past 5pm and they would need to speak with me about MRI results and possible diagnosis. I was there for over 24 hours with nothing but blood drawn, steroids and pain meds I had to keep asking for. Breakfast I ordered after not eating for 15 hours took over an hour to get delivered to my room (it was a bagel and bacon) I asked multiple times to be discharged, I could not stay another night and 1.5 hours later I finally was able to leave. I will never be returning. They made me sign an AMA against medical advice since I was leaving without an MRI after being in the hospital for over 24 hours with no MRI. Repeatedly told me they would expedite my outpatient MRI for hopefully the following week (I was there Thurs-Fri) and yet when I called the following Monday there was no records of me needing an MRI in the system per 3 different people I spoke to. I was then told I needed to contact my primary care doctor for an MRI and there was nothing they can do for me, but they were the ones who initially ordered the MRI.

I ended up here because of my PCP. Normally I just got to the Brigham ,but my mom can't handle all the traffic. The ER wait was short. I was admitted but it took about 6-8 hours because of all the tests. The day Dr was amazing, nurse were exceptional, especially Adam!. Transportation was above Par standards. Thank you JAREL! He made me feel safe and secure. I'm still here and that's ok. Only complaint, the food. Not the best. Blah!!

I haven't spent much time at hospitals but I can't imagine the 5 day stay I experienced at Faulkner being better anywhere else. Everyone I came in contact with was great. The infectious disease and orthopedic departments are exceptional in my opinion. The professionalism from every department was comforting and reassuring.
