Horrible experience. Problem incompletely evaluated and mistreated. I had to go to another doctor for the proper treatment AFTER I left Mass General ER. Also they tried to fraudulently bill for admission to Observation for a regular ER visit. THIS IS NOT THE BEST HOSPITAL IN THE WORLD. BEWARE!!!
Mass General is the worst facility, trying to get any information about my care and results is a nightmare. I had an MRI performed almost a week ago and still no results. Why it takes this long is egregious and borders on medical malpractice. If they are not competent enough to render results and inform the patient of their condition, then perhaps they should not be offering medical services.
I took my mom here when she was having a stroke in early May. She has a complex situation that requires input from both neurology and cardiology. She was admitted for about 9 days and I was there every day, all day. While she spent those days on the Neurology unit, we also spent about 15 hours in the ER. Everyone was amazing. I was astounded again and again by the competence, kindness, and collaborative approach used here. I felt confident that she was in the best place she could be and she has been thriving since her discharge. People come to MGH from all over the country and now I know why. This place is exceptional. They saved my mom and I’ll forever be grateful. Thank you so much to everyone on Lunder 7.
Tell me something. Now that the vaccines have been proven NOT ONLY helpful but extremely harmful. Do we sue the hospital for MAKING us get the stick or we couldn't have surgery done??? Because MGH told me that I COULDN'T have a procedure UNLESS I got the stick. Massachusetts medical has gone COMPLETELY downhill
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Burn Center, Pre-Op Center, and Surgical Unit for the outstanding care provided during a recent visit for my daughter, Haley. Although her scheduled surgery could not move forward as planned due to unforeseen medical issues that arose that morning, the entire experience from the moment we checked in at 5:30 a.m. was seamless, calm, and filled with compassion. Haley’s pre-op nurse was absolutely wonderful: reassuring, attentive, and kind. I was also brought into the process and suited up to accompany Haley into the surgical area, which meant a great deal to both of us. Once we arrived in the Surgical Unit, we were met with a level of care that was truly exceptional. Our surgical nurse was amazing. Haley’s anesthesiologist was remarkable, and we felt confident that she was in the best hands. Dr. Hickey, my daughter’s surgeon, was outstanding. His bedside manner was calm, confident, and kind. He made us feel like Haley was his only patient that day, which meant the world. All of the other members of the team, including the interns and surgical staff, were equally amazing. Every single person we encountered was of the highest caliber in both expertise and patient care. Their kindness and professionalism helped turn a very emotional and uncertain day into one where I felt held, supported, and seen — not just as a parent, but as a person navigating a complex and stressful situation. While we didn’t leave with the results we expected, we left with immense gratitude for the people who walked with us every step of the way. The care my daughter received, and the empathy extended to me, was extraordinary. I cannot thank the MGH team enough for their warmth, clarity, and calm during such a difficult time. It honestly makes me wonder why anyone in this region would go anywhere else. Your team is exceptional. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. With sincere gratitude, Tonya Lucas (Mom to Haley)
