To do the "at home sleep study" you need an appointment at the Lab to not only pickup the equipment , but also go over the details of how to use it. Yesterday, I MISSED MY APPOINTMENT! Oh no. I called to try to reschedule and they were fully booked out for more than a month. I asked to be put on a waiting list, but the scheduler did not give me much hope. Later in the day, I happened to be near the lab, so I went in hoping that there might be a cancellation. No such luck. The receptionist, Brenda, however, was super friendly and empathetic to my problem. She spoke with a staff member named Italy and explain my problem. Italy too, was supper friendly and professional. I was told if I was willing to wait then they would try to squeeze me in. I was willing to wait, and within only a few minutes Italy spent the time needed with me to prepare for the at home study. I actually spent less time waiting than I have for a scheduled appointment at some places. I love UC Health. Everybody here has always been kind, concerned, and professional.

My experience, was a extremely concerning for my safety, and security( first) when I arrived, I went early- don’t drive night. Sit in my care 15 mins. Person just sitting in lot( made me nervous) got out care , while still light out side. Went to 1st door push button for entry to security, no answer, walk right in. Was suppose check with security, no one there. Sigh in book there , I had no pin. Ask people what to do. Nice man came down took me up on elevator. No one in sleep lab , he left came back to clean on me numerous times times. At approximately 7:35 , state came in.. things got rushed. 1. Person ask my name, birth day. Said I was sign in, before she left , told me if I park in garage had validate. Went back with my walker , took picture. Couldn’t get back in. Buzz unit - took 5 mins to get in to. Could get elevator( key control) now. Hade go back out lobby to call unit , recording. Finally go buzzed in a person came to elevator. Up to unit trying to to put car registration in , staff ope for me to go in lab, Ian ask 1 min. To catch my breath and get my care register. No help. After she laced about my situation at elevator, I ask for 1 more min. She was in hurry, I ask one more min. , she turn to go in unit and turn to me and said it’s going to be long night( I had 12 hour) test I knew. Then she said in laughing manner and I am going to be you tech. At that point she said some other thing and left. I felt unsafe, disregarded, treated without respect. I surely left( spend night WTH that person was out of question. Home bound . B. Ward

It's impossible to just call and talk to a person. One pre-recorded message and menu option after another, and ultimately nobody answers the phone. Can you really not bear the cost of letting your patients talk to an actual human being? I have questions that are not answered on your website or by your pre-recorded messages.

The at home sleep lab worked like a charm. The lovely people who work for the sleep clinic sent me home with Bluetooth equipment. It was a smart ring that recorded my sleep with the app they provide you with. They provided me with all the information I needed. Now I need to wait for the results. All of my questions have been encouraged and answered.
