I absolutely adore Dr. Brimhall, but the front end staff there is so terrible I never want to go back. I've been going there about 4 years. In the last year it's gotten so horrible. I'll tell you the two most egregious things. A while back I requested some of my test results. Long rough story short, they handed me someone else's medical records. Not even the kind of results I asked for. When I told her the patient name on the records, it was not clicking that that is not me. I had to say, "That's not my name. I'm Amanda Ratcliffe." Second, they were sent a prior authorization from my pharmacy September 4th, 2025 for one of my prescriptions. At that time, I'd been there about 5 weeks before. My insurance changed and the new insurance needed prior auth. I still had 2 weeks of medication. I called Summit on the 10th to check the status. They said they never got it. I confirmed the fax number to send it to and asked if I need to call back to confirm they got it. If I need to follow up in a few days. I asked what I can do to help this process. I only had a week left of medication. They said no. They're on it. They'll watch for it to come through. They'll get it to the prior auth person and ask them to put a rush on it because now I only have a week left. None of that happened. They never did anything with the request for prior auth. It was automatically denied on the 16th. They received that fax and just filed it in my chart (even the denial). Still did nothing. I ran out of medication. I was out for a week. I called again. Now I'm crying. I asked what I'm supposed to do. I was told to pay for the medication out of pocket. I get a call back the next day saying no one told the assistant or prior auth department anything until my phone call the day before. They knew nothing about it. I am a current patient. Once the information was actually submitted to insurance, they approved it the same day. The patient is their one job. Short of calling every single day until it was done, there was nothing more I could have done. I shouldn't have to call at all. They should just do their job. Get the request for prior auth, DO IT! I don't know where else I can go. Only giving two stars because of Dr. Brimhall.

Dr Chad Brimhall is so good at asking the right questions & being very thorough. He has a great bedside manner, very professional yet so easy to talk to. He seems to really care about his patients. All his staff have been very kind also. Great office to visit!

I went in today as a walk-in and was in and out within 35 mins. Dani at the front desk was amazing getting me checked in so quickly. Due to the symptoms I was displaying, she advised me to pull up behind the building and wait in my vehicle so as not to expose anyone else in the waiting room, which I totally agree with. I didn't want to sit in there with a mask on feeling like crud anyway. As soon as I pulled up out back, PA Randy called me in and did some tests and sent my scripts to my pharmacy with my diagnosis. Everyone at the facility today was very kind and efficient from the beginning to end! Thank you, Summit, for always being great!

Staff and walk-in clinic were great experiences. However, Murphy lacks professionalism. He talks down to his patient when they raise medical concerns. Learn some tact. I knew something was off about him when doing my children's intake appointments. He just had an overall condescending attitude with them. A medical office is no place for the unprofessional comments and attitude. You're not funny if that was what you were going for. Unfortunately, his rude comments and behavior reflect negatively upon all of summit. 19 November 2024 update I suppose Murphy and his unprofessional demeanor has rubbed off on the front desk staff as well. The woman intaking my son and I thought it would be cute to make inappropriate "jokes" rather than act like a professional. Time to find a new urgent care as well.

The front desk receptionist (Dani)? Was very rude when I called. This has happened more than once. My Dr Chad Brimhall is great and so is his medical assistant. My last appointment she said I could call and talk to her or leave a message. She also explained that I could get a phone call returned from her or the doctor and even do a phone visit if needed. But, you can’t get through the front desk girl to do any of that. She was very rude and condescending. I live 30 minutes out of Snowflake so it’s not always convenient to make an appointment when you just need to ask a quick question. I will be explaining this to my provider when I actually do make an appointment.
