UF Health North Sleep Center

Horrible customer service. I have severe sleep Apnea with both obstructive and central apnea. Without my machine I could literally die in my sleep. My machine failed last night and I reached out to them for help. Just needed them to send my prescription over to BiPap provider so they could get me another machine. The condescending woman there refused to do so unless I schedule a whole new sleep study with them which would takes weeks before I get my machine. They literally are risking my life for the sake of getting billable services. If I die in my sleep My wife WILL be suing this clinic. Hope they have good malpractice coverage.

I would not hesitate to recommend the UF Health Sleep Center to anyone. I stayed there for two overnight sleep studies and found them to be excellent on both occasions. The reception staff and scheduling staff were kind and helpful. The technical people were very professional and knowledgeable. The facilities themselves are older, but well maintained. They are very clean and comfortable. The staff here really know what they are doing and work hard to collect the best data and description of your sleep issues.

After arriving almost 2 hrs late, I was still greater with kindness and understanding. At no time, did I not know EXACTLY what was being done and what for. You just know that the nurses here really care for their patients. The room was very clean, the bed, after inspecting all 4 corners, under, over, was flawless. I could even smell a very light fragrance ensuring cleanliness. Is give 10 stars if I could.

PA here was rude and negligent. Canceled my follow up appointment same-day. I got off work, drove to appointment and he stated "you should have answered your phone, then you'd know I cancelled." The clerk at the desk told me "you do have severe sleep apnea," not sure she was supposed to be sharing my medical diagnosis in the waiting area. Then, the PA said "I put in for an autopap," without having an appointment or meeting with me. The result of my sleep study said that cardiac testing was recommended. Horribly negligent.

The doctor of sleep study never called me regarding my in-home sleep results. I do not know what is going on with this facility. I was told they are a UF Sleep Clinic not a hospital. I have left messages and called several times and yet no response from them. I spoke to my insurance before I visited this to confirm they are in-network and it was a go. Do not go here. Waste of time.
