At the Inverness office I received outstanding service with Dr. Abraham, the office staff, check-in nurses and the sleep study facilitator during my three visits. Initial visit, sleep study and 3 month follow up.
They have two offices, one in Inverness and one in Crystal River. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at Inverness. Worst of all was the (apparent) she-bat office manager "Nurse Ratched", straight out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest. Rude and condescending. Better experience at Crystal River. They did a walk stress test for pulmonary hypertension, without telling me in advance not to use inhalers prior to test - I had just used a COPD inhaler that greatly increased lung capacity. Of course that rendered results inconclusive. They went with it and didn't schedule a re-test. Chaos, incompetence, and rude staff = get a new doctor.
Sleep study staff was amazing. The front office staff keeps changing appointments. Took a month to get the sleep study date-now changed my appointment again. Two weeks to get in for follow up..
I do not recommend this practice to anyone who truly needs pulmonary care. We waited over an hour to be seen, my husband can hear Dr A read his medical notes out loud just outside of the exam room, my husband had recent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor on his lung. He was also recently diagnosed with other major issues related to his respiratory health and Dr. A refused to sign a handicap parking permit. Mind you, my husband is also a disabled vet who retired after 30 years of service. Take heed to these reviews. Do not go there.
My husband had to wait an hour and 15 minutes past his appointment time. When he was finally called back, the doctor wanted nothing to do with treating his primary complaint. Instead, the doctor told us about his father's medical issues and thought my husband needed to try the same medication his father used... except my husband doesn't have the same issue as the doctor's father. Then we learn he's not even the doctor, he's an intern? After waiting even longer, we got up to leave. That's when the actual doctor suddenly wanted to see my husband. It'd been an hour and a half past his appointment time and was even past 5 p.m. by that point. We left and will never return. I could list several other issues we had with the front desk staff and scheduling issues, but this office has already taken up too much of my time. Save yours and go elsewhere.
