Great staff and yes you may have to wait but they give each patient the attention they need. Dr. Azam is caring and very knowledgeable.

My PCP referred me to Tuscaloosa Lung, Critical Care & Sleep, where I was accepted as a patient with Dr. Azam. As a patient and caregiver, I have engaged with a number of local and regional medical professionals and offices; I must say I LOVE Dr. Azam and the wonderful staff here. Dr. Azam is hilarious AND provides thorough explanations to my numerous questions AND patiently addresses any concerns I mention. He researches any issues and provides updates, and resources. I’m sure you will agree that (unfortunately) finding a non-dismissive, competent, and caring medical doctor with excellent bedside manners is akin to finding a needle in a haystack. To top it off— the staff is consistently friendly, compassionate, and attentive to my needs! It’s to the point where I actually enjoy my appointments! I wish I could attribute my experience to my winning personality, but today while waiting to checkout, I witnessed the receptionist patiently listen to, affirm, and support another patient who detailed a series of mishaps they endured while trying to (unsuccessfully) to get tested the wrong (unbeknownst to the patient) facility. The receptionist figured out the problem and wrote the address of the correct facility and then provide verbal directions and landmarks for the patient. The person left with a smile of their face instead of feeling belittled and embarrassed by making a mistake. It was beautiful to behold.

Dr. Salinas and staff were amazing. Worked me in quickly. At appointment they were prompt, thorough, and kind. Dr. Salinas listened to all of my concerns, was very thorough in his examination, and developed a comprehensive plan to address my needs. Highly recommend!

Dr. Salinas is an amazing and caring physician. He saved my mother’s life long before COVID. He was able to diagnose and treat her multiple issues. I could not be happier to have him as her caregiver. I trust him with my care and would take any friend or family member to this office for care. Do your paperwork ahead if you are a new patient, be kind, be patient and remember the extreme care load these physicians have been under during COVID and flu season. Absolute worst experience I've ever had. I tried getting set up for a sleep study since August of 2022. It is now February 2023. For starters it took them 2 months to even set up an appointment, had 1 visit, still no sleep study. And even though my insurance paid for the visit, they still billed me $45 for nothing (copay was already paid). Tried calling multiple times and left messages to get an explanation of the charges, never got an answer since i could never get anyone on the phone and they never called back. Instead they sent the bill to collections. $45 bill sent to collections. That's as pity as it can get for a doctors office! Won't ever go there or send family members there. Now I have a clinic elsewhere, that cares for its patients!
