I have been going to Roy Sleep Medicine since 2014 when I was referred by my ENT for sleep apnea. Throughout the years the staff has been wonderful, kind and supportive. Since then I have also been diagnosed with narcolepsy and even though I am not a simple case, they work constantly with me to make sure I’m feeling my best. Thank you to Dr. Roy, Christina and all the staff for helping this sleepy person live the best she can! ❤️
I have had a very positive experience with this clinic. Many doctors these days don't want to see you if you opt for self pay, and even many that do provide subpar healthcare. Not Roy Sleep Clinic... They care. They listened to my issues, answered my questions, and took ample time with me without me feeling as if I was just another face to push through the doors in 5 minutes. Once I got a diagnosis, they prescribed treatment, which required several phone calls for adjustments. They even followed up to check in on my therapy a month later. Finally, my treatment is working and I have not felt this rested my entire life. Thank you, Roy Sleep Clinic, for changing my life and caring.
I am a patient of Dr. Roy’s and am very disheartened by such low reviews. I met Dr. Roy at my first visit and he was professional, understood my apprehension of CPAP therapy, and was more than willing to make my experience great. My only concern is that was the last time I saw the doctor. Since then, it has been a nurse practitioner or other staff. I kind of feel like the doctor was the salesman. He sold me on the machine, I signed in the dotted line, and he vanished. I’m giving three stars because I have not had a bad experience with RSM. I really appreciated Dr. Roy’s compassion and understanding. If anyone can find him, let him know I miss him!
The Medical Doctors in this office are okay but not great. They are definitely in the business to make money. They are eager to assign patients to a Nurse Practitioners unless you insist on a Medical doctor.. The office staff are not friendly or welcoming. They seem to be there only for the income and interacting with patients is just a necessity of their boring job. My last 2 visits to the office were very frustrating. My appointment last week was at 1:40 pm. I had completed the 100+ questioner in their office the prior visit when I had to wait an hour to see the Nurse Practitioner. The office has sent a link to complete additional questions online (I completed their forms before arriving). I arrived before my appointment time and stood waiting to check in while one staff seemed to be chatting with a friend and the other window had a client that was trying to straighten out something and stayed there for over 10 minutes. Finally, the girl chatting on the phone eventually checked me in and confirmed that I had completed their on-line forms. I then waited over 25 minutes before being called back. The assistant weighed me in and took my blood pressure and said the doctor would be in shortly. I waited in the patient room another 25 minutes (I had expected to be out of this office by this time. I went to the nurses desk and asked for my chip back because I couldn’t just continue to wait. They went to get the chip and came back saying, she will be right here. I waited another 5 minute and went to the desk again and said I need to leave. I had been there over an hour! The nurse went back to the nurse practitioner and came back saying she would be right there. The Nurse practitioner came in the room holding my chip and I told her I had been there an hour and she said well that is the time we usually expect. I said, if you plan to see me at 2:40 which will work for you and save an hour of my time. She did not apologize, was hostile and seemed to believe an hour was a reasonable wait time.
My wife has been seeing Dr Roy for years and has nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. I finally started seeing him this year, and he is great! Very personable and really cares about his patients. As for the staff, I found them to be very professional. I've had some wait times, but no more so that other doctors I've seen. I just can't believe what some of the ex-employees are saying. This is a rating site for patients, not ex-employees airing ranting about their "bad" work experiences. I'm really, really tired of people pulling the race card and saying people use the "n-word." Uncalled for. I wish someone could do something about these slanderous remarks.
