Rude and will not help with issues. Ordered 900 dollars worth of materials and gor five nasal pillows doe 175 a piece. rip off
The place is easy to get in and out of. The staff from front desk to the doctor are super nice. This doesn't feel like your typical hospital.
I called to cancel an appointment. 1.5 minutes listening to phone tree. 4 minutes on hold. 1 minute looking up patient. "I have to transfer to the sleep clinic." Sleep clinic: "All agents are busy. Your call is important. Please call back later." ARE YOU KIDDING? You know what? I am not calling back. I will not inform you I am canceling my appointment. You will have a no show. Plus, their accounting is so screwed up. We had a bill they never informed us for 2 years. They sent to collections. This hospital is pissing me off. And I was born there. Find another hospital system, folks. I am going to find some other doctor. The Piedmont doctor I had for 20 years jumped 3 years ago. I thought I'd remain loyal to Piedmont, but it's like remaining loyal to Donald Trump: it's a one way relationship.
I would give 0 stars if I could. The people who scheduled my appointment could not accurately write down my information. I gave them my insurance information, name and email (which took a substantial amount of time). They told me that they would email me within a week. I call them two weeks later and apparently they could not find my name in the system. After some time, they found me in the system and asked for my email address (again). I called them later that day and told them that I did not receive an email. They again asked for my information. I can't remember how many times this happened until I finally got this email but there may have been more times. Unfortunately, they had to send me something through the actual mail system, so I braced myself. I figured that this was going to a very difficult task for them. I asked them to send it to an address DIFFERENT from my address on file (address A). They told me that they would email me the tracking number. I forget how many calls were needed for them to achieve this step but it easily could have been more than one. I finally got the tracking number, and unsurprisingly, it was being sent to address A. I called them back and it was as if they had no memory of talking to me (as usual). They gave me another tracking number and FINALLY, it was on the way. I celebrated the idea that I would (hopefully) not have to speak to them again. I later went to an appointment with my doctor and saw that they recorded my weight and height incorrectly. I can only presume that my results were accurate. I don't know what was wrong with the people that I spoke to. I have concluded that their extremely incompetent performance stemmed from one of the following a) an unbelievably understaffed unit, b) ineffective multi-tasking, c) severe cognitive deficits, d) I was speaking to an old computer system the entire time, e) the influence of drugs and alcohol, f) the presence of a person who beat them every time they did their job correctly, g) they had a gun to their head, at least one person had to die every day, and that the employees who performed the worst (or best) would be chosen to die.
Went in for a prescribed split diagnostic sleep study / CPAP test. My electrodes were on before I was told it had been changed to diagnostic only, and that I would need a second appointment to get checked out for the CPAP. Because the CPAP in my room was broken and they didn't have a spare! At a sleep center! Why would I pay for TWO studies when I would already need to come back for a second time anyway if I just rescheduled the split study? A phone call ahead of time so I could have rescheduled BEFORE I had electrode goop in my hair, rather than wasting my time and almost wasting my money, would have been nice. At least the technicians were good...
