Absolutely worst patient care possible, my sister had a sleep study in February and has been unable to get the results even though she has called every single month since March. We are now in September and I finally asked to speak to the medical director because if she does have sleep apnea, she’s been untreated since Feb and this is ridiculous! We were told that it’s the medical director last week and she wants to go out on a high note. The level of unprofessionalism is astonishing. At this point, I’m at my wits end and think it’s best to go to the Joint Commission or GA Department of community healthcare/HFRD. Highly disappointed by their lack of response and accountability.

Sleep study done Feb 2nd after 7 months of calls I was just told that I needed a referral for the study and a different referral to get the results🤦🏽‍♀️. I expected way more from Emory.

Wish I could give 0 stars. They deserve none. Sleep study on Sep 9, results finished oct 11. I never received a call or email (that I was explicitly told I would be receiving) when my results were ready. I called every single business day from Oct 15 to Nov 14. I repeatedly made calls, was pushed to voicemail every time, and left my contact information for them to contact me. I have heard nothing. I called today and to my surprise someone picked up. The lady on the phone claimed that I wasn't in the system. After waiting, she found me and told me I can't make an appointment because my referral expired on Nov 6. I told her that I have been calling all month and she continued to argue with me. She tried to tell me I was calling the wrong number (I was not) and that they"answer their messages and their mailbox is wiped". So now I am still experiencing an extended delay of care and a low quality of life. If your doctor refers you here, ask them to change to somewhere else, anywhere else.

Sleep study was completed on 5/03. Dr. evaluated/interpreted sleep study and signed it on 5/16. I received an email with the evaluation/interpretation on 6/07. I can not understand why it took 21 additional days for me to receive my email with the evaluation interpretation results. I repeat...he completed his evaluation on 05/16. Medical equipment company contacted me a week later and I received my Bipap machine and mask on 6/22. I used the equipment for 2 weeks and gave full effort to get accustomed to the mask. High pressure required me to strap down the mask so tight that my face had red marks(dents) in the morning. I called the medical equipment company about the issue. They directed me to call my Dr. and ask for a 30 day mask exchange. I contacted the doctor's office and left a voicemail with the MA on 7/07...NO call back. Voice message from the doctor's office says, "All calls will be responded to within 24 hours. Please do not leave duplicate messages." I called and spoke with the doctor's MA on 7/13 and was told the doctor would need to complete this...NO call back. I called this morning 07/21 and left a voice message with the doctor's MA explaining that my 30 day mask exchange deadline is/has approached and that I was worried I might not be able to make the exchange because NO one is assisting me. Very poor service from the office of Dr. Joseph Weissmann at Emory Sleep Center. WOW!

I have had several appointments with Emory Decatur hospital sleep center and have had absolutely no issues. I almost didn't go there because of all the bad ratings. I'm glad I did. I've had my appointments, sleep study and recurved my CPAP machine. I've never slept so well in a very long time. If you follow all the pre appointment proposals, you should have no problems.
