My son had a sleep study done this past Sunday. All of the staff was wonderful! They explained everything to us in such detail and made my son feel very comfortable. Everything was clean and comfortable.
Whoever is answering phone during the day needs to do better. If they do not have a secretary i understand. They are busy with patients at that time. I was very stressed thinking a call would come and it didn’t. Finally received a text message with a link for day before or of things she needed to do. The staff at night was great and patient with my non verbal on the spectrum child.
Dr Mansoor was absolutely kind, thoughtful and incredibly sweet with my daughter. He is so knowledgeable and very happy that he will be part of my daughters medical team.
I’m giving 5stars because I literally just got the referral 26th of April, they called me May 2nd to schedule I explained why he had got the referral From ENT and how my son is scheduled for a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy on July 24th and how his oxygen drops to the 80s when he sleeps…. THAT far out with a 2year old who’s oxygen drops when he sleep because of how big his tonsils and adenoids are. She got him in the same day for that night because of the severity, she said they just within the seconds we were talking had a cancelation… long story short STAFF was awesome with my son I believe the young man’s name was Preston… he continued to ask if we were ok did we need anything ect. Around 3 -4 somthing that morning my sons o2 dropped I asked him what to he said I can’t tell you but because of our protocol when it drops to or below 80% we have to do oxygen therapy I warned them they were in for a night my son has sensory issues and he kept trying to take the leads off anyways he told me because of the severity my sons would be made priority to the Dr. again protocol I asked well is there a nurse that can talk to me he said there is no nurses or anything just the technicians … my whole thing is if THE parent tells you that her sons oxygen has been dropping while he sleep and then they had to do oxygen therapy why wouldn’t they have at least a doctor or Nurse in the building for this… EVEN a RESPIRATORY Therapist would be ideal for the nights they have the studies… I called ENT that morning and didn’t get a call back from them until the end of the day just to find out that the DR from the sleep study is the person that should have ordered home oxygen therapy for my son!!! The ENT didn’t want to. The Sleep study center closed at 3 this is the weekend I have expressed concern to his ENT, his PCP, And the sleep study Technician all within the few moments of being done with the sleep study … I don’t understand why they don’t have a on call Dr…. Or a nurse or RT in the building who is there for emergencies???? Cause as being in the medical Field myself a nurse since 2008, I would have been on the doctors neck about my patients oxygen level while sleeping… especially if it dropped below our protocol which is 80% percent per Preston the technician. What Is a polysomnographic technologist? polysomnographic technologist are trained professionals who work in a sleep laboratory conducting sleep studies they reviews the results, and creates summary reports that guide the care of patients. In top of that works closely with patients to diagnose and determine therapy for a variety of disorders related to sleep. Technologists score sleep data and prepare raw data for physician … WHO CAN GET MY SON SoME OXYGeN for HOmE until he goes for surgery ???? It takes at least 2 weeks for the doctor to review this and then it gets sent to his ENT and then we’re looking at maybe a few more weeks til they call us … help please yal staff was great with us but my concerns is in case of emergencies or when the staff see’s the child needs at home oxygen therapy.
Loved the Dr. and he made the experience a lot better. My children were seen December 1, 2023 and if it would have been just the nurses and the front desk, I probably would never go back. They seemed like they had no idea what they were doing and they also seemed very flustered. I totally get having computer issues, training, etc. I have dealt with that at my job for over 11 years. I just feel like when it comes to being professional and working with children, which my children have special needs, and nervous parents, you need to be confident, and make your patients and parents feel at ease.
