I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kent White’s office. They made me an oral appliance to help with obstructive airway/sleep apnea, and it has been absolutely life-changing. I didn’t respond well to CPAP at all, and this device has alleviated so many symptoms that were affecting my daily life—and even lifting the depression that came with feeling exhausted all the time. Dr. White is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and thorough in explaining everything. His front desk staff, especially Gretchen, is amazing—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. If you’re struggling with sleep apnea and CPAP isn’t for you, I highly recommend seeing Dr. White and his team. They truly gave me my life back.

I had an incredibly poor experience with a staff member from Dr. Smith’s office—Trina Smith—when I called on April 23, 2025, to request my sleep study results. I was informed that their office does not email patient results and only sends physical copies by mail. That was completely understandable. However, after explaining this, Trina said she would put the results in the “snail mail” and told me not to expect them anytime soon. She added that they are a small practice handling 9–14 requests a day, and I should not expect to receive the results quickly. I reassured her that I understood and was not in a rush—I never indicated that I needed them urgently. I asked what she meant by “snail mail,” as I live in Knoxville and the office is two hours away in Chattanooga. Her response was that she was busy and would try to get to it the following week. On May 15, 2025, I called back for an update since I had not received anything. A different staff member answered and was incredibly kind and polite—a breath of fresh air compared to my previous interaction. She said my request would be passed along and someone would call me back. After not receiving a call, I followed up again on May 22, 2025. This time, Trina answered. I explained who I was, and she immediately said she recognized my name from the previous week after her colleague mentioned my follow-up. She made no further comment. I asked again for my results, and she asked if I would like them emailed or mailed. Emailed? After previously telling me that email was not an option, I asked why this was now possible. She simply said, “Sorry for your confusion.” I finally received my results by email. This entire situation was completely unnecessary. I genuinely feel sorry for Trina if she feels the need to belittle others due to her own personal frustrations. Being a small Business owner, one would expect more care and consideration toward patients paying for a service. You could take a few pointers on how to treat others with respect from your employees. I was cordial and polite throughout my interactions with you, and I’m sorry you felt the need to treat me poorly.

I have been giving the best care that I have experienced. The doctor and his staff were very helpful and understanding of my needs and they took care of them as if they were invested in me personally. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone who has been struggling with trying to get a good night's sleep. They are the best.

For years I have unsuccessfully dealt with exhaustion, mental fog, and lack of quality sleep. I had been diagnosed with sleep apnea before but didn’t want to deal with a CPAP machine. After the urging of my husband to look for a solution for my problems, I visited the Chattanooga Sleep Center. From the minute I walked in the door I knew I had made the right decision! All of the staff at the center are so helpful and genuine! After my first sleep study I was diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea. Because of this diagnosis I was able to try Oral Device Therapy. I received my device which looks very much like a retainer. I noticed immediate results! I have used the device every night since I received it. After a few months with my device I was scheduled for a second sleep study. The difference between the results of the two studies are remarkable. In my first study It was recorded that I had 16.3 apnea events per hour, snoring, and my lowest oxygen saturation was 85%. After using my device my results were 0.2 apnea events per hour, no snoring, and my lowest oxygen saturation was 90%. Most of all I have more energy and I feel better!! Thank you Dr. Smith, Dr. White, Laura, Gretchen, and all the amazing staff at The Chattanooga Sleep Center!
