The Sleep Center at GBMC is an AASM-accredited sleep center located in Towson, MD. The clinic specializes in home sleep testing, in-lab sleep testing (Polysomnography), and sleep medicine consultation. Patients can receive expert care for hypersomnia/excessive daytime sleepiness, insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and sleep-disordered breathing.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is highly unprofessional and disorganized. I had called for an appointment, was put on hold several times, finally scheduled one but “due to demand” and the fact that I am a new patient, the next video appointment wasn’t available until November (I called in May). She then magically finds an appointment in early August so I book it. I then get a voicemail a week later that now they had a July appointment come up. I called back immediately and never could get through after 30 min of being on hold. I called back the next day, got through but then was repeatedly put on hold, the appointment day and time changed three times, every time they would come back from a hold it was a new day and time, finally they said they have a lot of video appointment times available in July which I truly don’t understand how that magically just happened in the course of a week when originally they only had appointments 6 months from now. I asked what the difference in evaluation is from an in person appointment to a video appointment, of course they had to put me on a hold again to find out. Turns out that the video is just a brief screening (all the same info I have told my doctor on why she referred me to a sleep clinic in the first place), I would then have to schedule another appointment to do a sleep study (good luck scheduling that based off this experience!) and then have to schedule another appointment to go over the results. All of this after 40 min on a call in which I was simply returning their own call to schedule this elusive July appt. they magically had available. We got nowhere, still have a Aug. appt. but I have zero confidence in this institution based off this experience just to schedule a simple appointment. I would never trust their medical team with anything if this is the difficulty you have to go through just to schedule a video screening. It is the most absurd experience I have ever had with a medical professional. Highly recommend going elsewhere. It’s not worth the endless holds and disorganized staff.
