Worst hospital I've ever dealt with. Just terrible and uncaring. I gave 2 stars because one Dr. Mujjahid Abbas, MD was amazing and Nurse Nick, who worked my room area was very helpful and understanding. These two were great and deserve high praise. Dr. Abba's surgery team were great as well, not so much for his non-surgical nurses. First, no one understands what the patient is actually going through or feeling, but seems like they all seem to know what is best for you with out even talking to you. Here's my biggest gripe. I was admitted because of colon issues due to scar tissue from previous surgeries. It was getting so bad that I was having bowel obstruction on a weekly basis. I was sent here from another hospital and was admitted. A NG tube was placed down my nostril into my stomach to suck out all the buildup that my stomach stopped doing. This did bring much relief. But my gripe is, they put it in and suspect you to just lay there with no water or ice. I did have an IV to keep me hidrated and they felt that was all I needed. For some people this maybe true, but not me. Being able to have a few drops of water or to suck on a piece of ice brought me comfort. That plastic tube down my throat rubbed me dry in my throat down to my stomach. The water and ice was a great lubricant that I felt made it bearible. I actually got into an argument with the nurse on tonights shift and the on duty nurse over this. I explained my reasoning to no care from them. The on duty Dr finally decided to let me have ice chips, but the nurse taking care of me still refused. So then the Dr decided to add on IV Tylenol, which didn't have no effect on the issue. Finally, I guess the nurse felt bad and brought me some ice chips, about 10 tiny pieces was all. Come on people. Haven't you ever been taught in your classes that the patient is always right? No one knows what helps each individual patient, except the patient themselves. The thing that really made me mad is that they were extremely rude about it. The other nurses working my area during my time here were more understanding than this nurse. They would at least bring a half cup of ice every so often, not a measley 10 tiny pieces to last me all night. If it was up to me this nurse should be fired. There is absolutely no need for a nurse who acted the way she did. My last gripe is this, I just had this surgery done and I'm supposed to be resting and taking it easy. Then why would you put me in a room directly under the Life flight Teleport? There we're helicopters coming and leaving every hour non stop, one actually coming in now as I write this at 3am. Every time I start working o dose off, I'm woken by a helicopter. Just stupid If you ask me I've said enough, but very doubtful I'll ever come back to this hospital except for my follow ups with Dr. Abbas.

uh cleveland medical center is one of those places that reminds you why good hospitals matter. the second you walk in, you can feel that they actually know what they’re doing. the staff moves with purpose, doctors talk to you like you’re a human being instead of a chart, and even on the crazy busy days there’s this sense that you’re in the right hands. it’s not perfect, no hospital is, but i’ve never left feeling unsure about the care i got. that alone says a lot. now, the parking yeah. that’s the one part nobody likes. it’s expensive, it’s cramped, and sometimes you circle so long you start questioning your life choices. half the time you’re praying someone will pull out before your patience runs out. but even with that headache, i still wouldn’t go anywhere else. when it comes down to it, i trust them. and trust is worth more than the extra couple bucks and the stress of the garage shuffle. so sure, the parking situation could use a miracle, but the care? absolutely solid. if i ever need something serious taken care of, this is the place i want to be.

My Dad had a heart valve replacement Friday morning (November 14th) by an amazing surgeon. Everything went okay, his ICU care was wonderful, but they decided to keep him overnight for monitoring. So they moved him up and admitted him, he was supposed to come home Saturday, the 15th. Flash forward to today, Sunday the 16th. He was to be released this morning. Well, surprise, they want to keep "monitoring him". The lab who "supposedly" has the heart monitors, (which they are sending him home with) is closed. They open at 8am Monday morning. Which means another hospital stay = more profit for them. Communication from this facility is ridiculous. They knew the monitor lab's hours. They knew he needed it before discharge. They could have planned this yesterday or communicated it clearly. It was a huge inconvenience for him, and our family. He planned, and we planned for him to come home on Saturday, just to be given the run around, emotionally, physically...it's disgraceful and disgusting.

I have been waiting in the ER for over 8 hours, and it’s been almost 3 hours since my MRI was completed. Still no update, no doctor has come to explain the results, and no one is communicating what is happening. It’s extremely stressful to be left waiting this long without information—especially after a medical test like an MRI. Patients deserve timely updates and better care. Very disappointing experience.writing this review while i am here and not sure how long I need wait

Best 👌 👍 place to go for medical. HUGE, please use your maps. Valet parking and they are on their toes. Dr. are friendly and listens to your problems. I am hearing impaired and nurses are the only one who can't understand. I drive 3.5 hours to get there.
